Is it a sin to spend company time on forums

I was just sitting here thinking. Is it a sin to spend company time on forums?
Silly question I know. Infact Mods you may delete if you you like.

I think it is a great topic. I have a friend I communicate with daily to hold him accountable for this very subject. It depends on the rules of where you work. The act itself isn't sin, but going against the authority of your work place is.

I think it is a good question too, and for those of us who do not work outside the home...it could apply to the authority of our husbands, and ultimately does God think it is time well spent...making good use of our time for His glory.

Since most of my time online is spent at work, I suppose this applies to me.

I get my job done and I've been told that I'm very good at my job. Some days are busier than others. Take for instance this week. The first three days were dead.. so I spent a lot of time on the forum. Right now it's pretty busy so while a process on my pc is running, I decided to check out what's been going on.

Don't think I'm committing a sin until I fail to do my job the way my job is supposed to be done.

I finally printed and read your post in the baptism thread on my lunch today. I thought that it was great. Time permitting, I'll try and post a reply on Monday. Ohh, I don't know much about the temple, but I love the tabernacle!

j/k I am a Computer Network Tech/Admin at a communications company that services alarm, fire and medical notification systems (aka, a central station) It's my job to be on computers all day. This however, does not explain why I am on at night. :

I know my advice isn't the greatest (everyone knows that by now ) but I don't think that would be considered a sin. Don't see how it seperates you from God.
