Knock off this insanity that Van Impe's ministry is not biblical. Van Impe teaches salvation is by Justification By Faith In Jesus Alone. In otherwords Van Impe teaches that salvation comes by praying to Jesus and asking Him to come into ones heart and cleanse one of all sins and become ones Savior.

And that is biblical? Where does the bible say that we should ask Jesus into our hearts?

Doesn't Jack teach that a baptism by water is un-necessary?

By the way, where is the scripture that provides for Jack to cede the podium to Rexella?

A little leaven leaven the whole lump.

I tend to be a bit skeptical. Not so much of Van Impe, or how biblical his teaching is, but end times prophesy teachers in general. However, as RobertMazar I believe pointed out, if he teaches the core belief (without getting too technical of the wording) with the motivation to win souls; then I wouldn't question his ministry personally.

The suspicions I have concerning those who primarily emphasize end times prophesy, is that they generally seem to fall into a certain generational age group. I think that there's a human nature aspect for Christians to desire to live in the very last days (literally), to where they would be those who are caught up in a rapture while still alive on Earth, as opposed to missing out due to being in the wrong generation. The conflict with this desire, is at the same time, human nature will not thinking positively of their life on Earth being cut short. So, when someone has had more of a full-life (grand children, great grand children, etc.), this obstacle may lessen considerably.

End times prophesy no doubt has it's place, and no doubt many who teach it have gained wisdom through many years of study. But when it becomes the primary focus, that's when I get suspicious. The question as to whether or not they're attempting to create a certain mindset, or whether or not they are reconstructing their teachings at times to modify current world event trends (TV ratings) come to mind.

Hey Brown, maybe it's because they older and closer to death and they may not be around to realize their failed prophecies. :lol

I think that about Harold Camping sometimes, but then again, his prophecies are not that far off in the distant. I have a strong feeling he will still be here to see them fail and with that, his ministry.

The clear dangers of date setting and claiming the so-called church age is over.

Sorry, for digressing. :oops

Yes Vic, that would be the perfect example. It seems one of his main arguments as to why Christians reject his prediction, is for the reason of being tied to the things of this Earth (desires, goals, etc.). I have a hard time believing that all of his staff believe his doctrines.

.What impresses me about Jack Van Impe, is his memory of Scripture, I heard get it wrong only twice. What I am saying is, that he quoted some Scriptures and then said where they were, and they were not. But God blessed the cat with great memory.

When I think of Van Impe and others, I think of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. There is more to them than meets the eye. I could say more, but I would probably be cited for violating the forum rules.

Like Christ said, were you find the corpses, you'll find the vultures.

Along with all the TV preachers / teachers, Jack Van Impe is just another false prophet.
