Is "loser" ever an appropriate label?

Many say it's nasty to call someone a loser. I might agree. I'm not sure.
I did not reach any career highs in life that would attract the label "winner".
In a secular context, winner usually is associated with status such as :
- long stable marriage
- long stable career or successful career change
-Owning a house
-success in sport like winning a team flag
-affluence
-staying away from crime/prison
-popularity

What about a Christian context though?
Is there such a thing as a Christian winner or loser?

I lost my career due to not being able to control anxiety. It plays on my mind a lot. But I've done ok otherwise so the mind tends to zero in on, the negatives.
Thank you Lord for all the good things I have received in this life. Even though I'm still trying to figure why you let me become such a worry, worry wart.

Some of you would take exception to Trump being called a "loser". I'm not going to use that label to describe him. All I will say is that it looks like he has lost this election.
But I think if we look more closely at Trump's personality, he really hates losing.
He sees himself as a winner. He is terrified of being known as a loser. Scared of the humiliation. Isn't it time, he took a chill pill? Losing is not the end of the world. But he identifies so strongly with being a winner, that losing is inconceivable. He must do all in his power to remove "loser" being associated with his name.
Trump needs repentance. He needs God. He needs real humility instead of out of control narcissism. He takes himself too seriously. He still has his health. He should be grateful to God for that at his age.
Maybe we should all pray that Trump has an awakening. A Damascus Road moment. And apologizes to everyone for his behaviour.
But I sense that apologies are for "losers". That's how he would regard it. He needs hardcore humility ......asap.

"Failure is not acceptable".
Is that what we all believe now? Are we going to join Trump's deranged thinking?
Or we could take a more mature approach. Even a Christian approach.
What is this failure teaching me? How can I learn from it?
Most of us have failed at something. How can we turn that failure into success? Or how can we turn that failure into a different kind of success? Like a Christian form of success? Which is repentance and humility.
Ok, guess I need to take my own advice. Sorry if I have offended anyone. I wasn't meaning to. Just needed to express that.

This election really sent you for a loop huh? These past 10 days, you've been full of hatred & judgement for the man. But if he's so bad...have you been praying for the man also? Or just cursing him with negative words?

Your Bible tells you to pray for your enemies.

Strange thing is that Christians are all Losers! They have admitted they are sinners, losers in the Christian life.
But,
All Christians are sinners in that they will gain heaven and an eternal life.

In human material terms what is a winner?
To have earnt and paid one's way, to have married and raise responcible adults to me that makes one a ' winner'.

I don’t really think people should be labeled losers. As long as you are alive you can change your life for the better. I think Trump is not acting as a professional dignified president should. He lost and his denial seems childish and embarrassing to me.

You're getting your news from the wrong sources. Try tuning in to OAN network. That is One America News Network. They're on youtube and who knows where else.

But they paint a lot different story than CNN & Fox does.
Remember! The enemy's primary weapon against us is deception. The devil can appear as an Angel of Light....
Now look at your TV and describe it's characteristics. It emits light. Huh! How about that?

I dislike him but I think I've been reasonable about it . Not over the top. We shouldn't be afraid to admit that on here. Otherwise we only get Trump fans view of reality.

That's a fair statement imo. But it will probably annoy those who support Trump.

I thought you sounded kind of harsh about him. And if you think abut it...he's no better or worse than anyone else is. We're all guilty of sin and we each have ur problem areas. But you gotta admit, Trump is intelligent. If he wasn't then he wouldn't be a billionaire, right?

I dunno, I don't want to make an issue out of it but scripture tells us to walk in love towards all and to bless our enemies, and don't judge people. That's what I was thinking.

Interesting.
So you admire his millionaire status?
I respect his cunning. He knows how to survive. But do you honestly think he has America's wellbeing as first priority? He cares about himself first and foremost. And will do whatever it takes, to win. Win at all costs. I can't believe Christians support such non Christian behaviour. It's beyond my comprehension. And I think his bad role modelling encourages selfish behaviour in his followers.

No I don't admire his millionaire status but I respect the fact that he's a businessman and a good one if he has 3 Billion+ in the bank.

But from how you talk about him, I can see that you don't really know a whole lot about him. The information that I have is that he was not a Christian when he first ran for President but was born again shortly thereafter his first term.

And if you look at what all he has done for this country in his first term, you will see that it's a lot. The country is in much better shape now than when Obama was in there.
I have a thread, What has Trump Accomplished in his first term? Here and you should go read the list of numerous things that he has done.

And so he used to talk pretty bad about some and women before he took office...means nothing, We have all said the wrong things before. And this is 4 years later. I havent heard him badmouthing like he used to, for awhile now.

Plus, I've watched quite a few of his interviews/debates and clips of him campaigning and so forth...and He mentions the Lord and Jesus Christ quite a bit in my mind. It's been a long time since we heard the Lord talked about...coming from the White House! So your info is wrong, Brother. Try watching a alternative news channel (like OAN One America News) for something besides lies & propaganda.

But anyway, I just don't watch the news like I used to because the Lord told me not to. So I haven't been, except to keep up on election results. Can you Brothers and Sisters tell me some more ways that Trump has helped us?

So I can go talk to her again and have something!

She gets 100% of her info from the mainstream media, and believes it!
you posted this in a different thread, then you try and promote another news network.

While I can not for the life of me understand the delusions of some, I do understand from whence those delusions come, for the Lord himself said He would send strong delusion. But why the need for what appears to be dishonesty?
How can you say the Lord told you to stay away from the news while you exclusively support and promote one that others might say engage in propaganda?

I know your old enough Edward, but for some reason it seems Christians have been filled with fear about the “Liberal” Judges on the SCOTUS. In the last 40 years, can you tell me how many Supreme court justices have been appointed to the highest court? and of those, how many have been appointed by Democrat Presidents?

It makes me cringe to hear someone call someone a loser. It seems really damaging.

That's his regular schtick. Shooting the messenger, not the message. It's relentless bullying. He relies on it for lack of substance.

I don't normally watch the news. An election comes once every four years though and this is a big election for the country. So I do watch some of that. That doesn't mean I'm lying.

If you want to get your info from mainstream media, you're sure welcome to go embrace them. That's up to you. But I'm not delusional because I don't trust CNN or fox.
