I said, in the phone-in there, @ 11.00-11.10pm, that their headline-grabbing statement - that the average immigrant only benefits Brits by 4p a week - was an obvious, blatant lie, because everyone has to pay for food, clothes, accommodation, transport, etc, etc

& added that the Africans & E Europeans I know are very hard workers, working amazingly long hours & providing vital services to our communities

I'm sure one reason for no replies yet is that these related issues are potentially explosive

But 'Net anonymity makes this the ideal way to seek God's face @ how we can best balance fairness, justice, good community relations, protecting the public, etc - hiding our heads in the sand will make things worse, not better, yes?

Surely all are essential elements of God's command to 'love your neighbour as yourself' & the Bible says much @ each of those elements
