"But if our gospel is hidden, it is hidden to them that are lost." 2 Corinthians 4:3
When we give our lives to Jesus, we become teachers, instructors, and ambassadors for Him. Just like we expect royalty and leaders to act a certain way, we are expected to act a certain way. No longer can we engage in certain activities of the world. People around us expect us to know how God wants His people to live and what principles are to govern our lives. They expect us to live a righteous life and have answers to their problems.
Most of all, the expect us to live these things out--to practice what we preach. What do they see as we cruise down the highway of life in our everyday clothes, when no one seem to be watching? Are careless words of questionable actions conspicuously dangling out the window? Are we just going with the flow, secure in our own indifference? Or do they stare in astonishment and feel a gentle reminder that true joy and security are found only in living by the book?
