Bible Study Is the answer to this question in the bible?

I have a situation where I have taken a difficult test that would determine whether or not I get into an excellent high school. I am not content with the high school I am currently in. I pray and pray and pray that I have came out successful in the test. I also pray that two of my close friends have as well. I want to continue to honor God after my results. Is there anything in the bible pertaining to this situation? This test is really important to me. I promise you, it really is.:pray

Our desires are used by God, just as are all things. It's acceptable to hope that something we desire might be God's will but since He always provides what's best for us, we should always have the readiness to learn in disappointments. The mature Christian's attitude is parallel with the following: "Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit"; whereas you do not know what [will happen] tomorrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you [ought] to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that." (Jam 4:13-15).

My prayer is with you for this, if it be the Lord's will. Amen. Also know that God grants requests that result in hardness and undesirability to teach us, but we always come out right regardless. I call it the Magoo Factor (Rom 8:28). Learning to rightly take disappointments by keeping God first is the goal of everything.

God's blessings to your Family!

Dear Infinite Jewel,
As it is written, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. From your post, you have done those things, so I would expect you to be going to a new school unless, for reasons we do not know, the Lord does not want you there. Faith is everything Ms. Jewel, and it seems you have it. I have always found it a wise thing if we thank the Lord ahead of time for the blessings He is about to bestow on us. Have fun at your new school.
