Yes, I think it is. It's pretty obvious we're in the last days. David Wilkerson came out with his "The Vision" years ago, but it seems this is finally happening now. It seems we're having unprecedented economic problems today, worse even than the Great Depression. When you're having record foreclosures, high unemployment, bank collapses, stock market crash, inflation, trade deficits, budget deficits, etc. all at the same time how can you call this a good or improving economy? Virtually every indicator is negative.
I could get into politics, but for those who think getting the Republicans back in power is going to change much, dream on. They were trying to turn the US into a fascist dictatorship and the Obama administration a communist dictatorship. What's the difference? The same people control both the Republican and Democratic parties. Wake up and smell the coffee.
But I think we've maybe been going through the Great Tribulation already. Haven't things gotten pretty weird since 9/11? And a lot of earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, oil spills, wild fires, wars, rumors of wars, etc. And we're now torturing prisoners and according to a recent poll the majority of regular church attending Christians are supporting this practice, while it's the majority of nonattending people who don't. What's wrong with this picture? The Bible prophesied that the last days church would largely have fallen away from the true faith.
And we know that from Zechariah 12:3 that in the last days Jerusalem would be a "burdensome stone for all people." We know that in recent years Israel's wrath has fallen on Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, aid ship flotillas, etc. Then the Bible predicts that there will be a massive invasion by numerous countries of Israel. The Battle of Armageddon. I was there at one time. The Valley of Megiddo, and the tour guide said that that was where this great Battle of Armageddon would one day be fought.
Jesus Christ also predicted this. "And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh." Luke 21:20. And the United States at this time may be completely wiped out, because a lot of people think the United States is the Babylon of Bible prophesies of Jeremiah chapters 50 and 51 and Revelation chapters 17 and 18. The good news is that Jesus Christ will return at this time to take over the earth that worldly people have made a mess of. Many Jews will be saved at this time, especially in Israel. "They will look on him whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son." See http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0030/0030_01.asp
