The seventh day is the Sabbath Rest.

It’s the 1000 years we reign with Christ, when He removes our enemies and dwells here on earth as King over all the earth from Jerusalem.



For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. Hebrews 4:8-9

Two things. We do not known what the age of the earth is. It says in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Then it tell us that it was without form and void. Nowhere does it tell us how long it was without form or void so we cannot say we know and it is foolish to speculate.

Two, look at it from God's perspective. He got people to write the book of Genesis for people like you and me to read. Do you think that he would deliberately confuse the issue with meanings that we have no evidence for? If each day or any day was longer than 24 hours, why didn't he give some indication? He didn't so I would suggest that they were 24 hours because anyone reading them would automatically think they were....24 hours.

And as the whole of creation is ordered around a 24 hour day, then logic would tell you the creation was a 24 hour day job, bearing in mind that time has no meaning to God so he was quite capable of making each day 2 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 364 hours and so on and so on.

Lets stick to the obvious and operate on the basis of a 24 hour day and leave the speculation to those who look for a conspiracy in every corner.
