My mom and I just finished one of our favorite movies Mary Poppins and I was just sort of thinking about the fact that it might be a rather fun job to be a nanny although I personally don't have any magical power and I have my own parental style that I will share after Joe and I are marriedoing and we start having kids of our own. However, until then I would be interested in being a nanny but what exactly are the qualifications? How does one even become a nanny in America anyway? Can you? Does it even still exist?

Yes they do.I have seen them locally

Cool, does anybody know whether or not you need a college education for it? Like I said before, once I have the time and transportation for it I think that it could be really fun considering the fact that I love kids so much. Heck, I'm basically a child at heart anyway. :)

You shouldn't need a degree, but you should try to have some experience, references, and a resume. If you don't have experience, a good place to start might be volunteering for the nursery at church and other stuff like that, as well as babysitting for friends.

Alright thanks. Right now it's rather hard for me to get a job anyway due to the fact that I don't have any transportation or room for it in my schedule.

Nanny services still exist. And they can be very lucrative positions if you get with the right family.
A degree is usually required. Here's some resources you can browse through. How to become a nanny career guide

Ok, what I said was based off care.com, which I had been using to promote myself as a petsitter. There were people on there who offered babysitting, so I assumed it was the same. I didn't mean to give inaccurate information, I apologise.
