It's an RFID (Radio Frequency I D) device. Pass it over a magnetic field and it broadcasts your ID so that funds can be transferred from your account to theirs of from theirs to yours.

I don't know about that. Who knows? But I will say one thing. I would resist getting that chip. The logic to sell the chip will be that there will be no wallet or credit cards for a thief or a robber to steal. No, not really. Instead of stealing your wallet, they will steal you! Kidnapping will skyrocket as they force someone to use a chip in their hand to get what they want. Or, maybe even chop it off. Then as is the mentality of most of these thugs, they will probably end the transaction with a bullet thru the head anyway. If anyone doubts what I say, just look at the hacking going on -- they try to steal virtual data to pretend it's you, and I think the problem is getting worse, not better. I say, take my wallet and cell phone and have a good time. Then they will probably forget to turn it off and can be tracked --- blip blip blip there they are officer! I read locally here a few buffoons being caught that way.

I remember when I was younger I watched a movie with my Christian best friend and her parents about the tribulation and they had barcodes as the technology of the day that was supposed to be the mark of the beast (searching for it now - must have been the thief in the night series b/c they were pretty dated?).

The rapture might still be hundreds of years off and maybe they'll develop even lighter tech than this. The mark could be some kind of holographic, digital tattoo that doesn't hurt when its imprinted.

Either way, I'm not worried about it because Christ will have come for his Church before the anti-christ is even revealed.

RFID tech has been around for a long time.
People use them as gate passes in apartment complexes and as access into semi-secured buildings.
The sequence of impulses they generate are easily duplicated. I can go online and purchase a replacement gate key for my apartment complex...easy and inexpensive.

It's not a secure enough technology for "the chip" to buy or sell. Hacking the banking cards would reduce confidence. That's why we all got credit/debit cards with a chip that records and changes numbers every time we use it.

You would have to have a massive upgrade to RFID tech to make it work. There are better systems and conductivity for the electronics is essential for it to work. I'm not going to do that...nor would others. Bad enough to have metal parts inside of me but to have them sticking out as well?

I don't need anything from the government. Their entire system is whitewash. I would never need or want or take such a device from our government. We don't even need their monetary system, the Lord showed me that in Colorado already. Scripture prophesied all this anyway.

So no chips for me. I don't even have any tattoos, lol. So, I know the day is coming eventually that I won't be able to go grocery shopping anymore. It is what it is. Prepping for no grocery stores is just prepping for camping, lol. People don't barter commonly because money is convenient. But people will barter in an instant if the situation arises. Some will go hungry, some will barter and get by, some will be fed manna from heaven. The shadows are all there in the OT.

I guess this is our Egyptian bondage?

You can protect your credit card from walk by scanners by keeping it in a metal case. I wouldn't want to encase my hand in a Faraday cage while shopping.

Or is this the chip everyone talks about. It's a Bitcoin. All I know is we are told to flee when we see the abomination that causes desolation stand in the holy place that Daniel already prophecied of this abomination..................I've made my plans for a safe place as I know God will provide. The only chip I want is a potato chip.

Safe place? Yes. Now that brings memories of Psalm 91 to mind. Im not worried about any of it at this point. I have to focus on walking in Love towards all. I can feel that my heart is changing, but I also feel I am not done yet.

But none of it will come nigh to my dwelling...

Worried, no, as I worry for nothing. A watchman, yes, as Christ gave us what to watch for before He returns. Is God done working on me yet, no, as I have still have my weak areas He is helping me with. A lot of good promises in Psalms 91.

They are probably working on the mark already. We will recognise the finished product because it will have the beasts name or number on it. We know what his number is.

I am more worried that if I am still alive when it happens that I will let the Lord down. But I also believe that the Holy Spirit will give us the strength to overcome.

I keep a watch but try not to think about it too much. I have too many weaknesses to work on.

THe chip displayed is simply for identification. They have been used for animals for decades. It would require something more sophisticated than that device but, if there is a market for such a device, someone will manufacture it.

The market for animal identification is rather small and requires a database registration. It's a fee that few (by comparison of pet owners) actually pay and keep track of their pet.

People are different... people try to change their identities. (To steal and to hide)

The database would have to be huge. Accessing the database would also be a monstrous task. A supercomputer still wouldn't be enough. (Think about the many times that cell phone networks get overloaded...and those systems are the size of a shipping container (a large one full of "state of the art" small electronics)

I've done Electrical work for a credit card processing company (like when you buy gas or groceries) and it takes a room...it just shrank in size but still needs a huge amount of power (the same as the large room but now the footprint is smaller)

And every city has several credit/debit card processing companies. 3 UPS battery systems and two backup generators. (For power glitches)

Now for a database that encompasses the entire world of 7billion+ people? Too much data. We really don't have the technology to accomplish this yet.
It also would have to be relatively secure to alleviate fears and be desirable by the masses. (Reality is something else)

Also the "chip" would need some kind of security that would keep it from being exchanged for a different one. (Criminal elements)
Again this technology is in it's infancy and no where near good enough for public use.
Not to say that it won't be available in the future...but currently the technology doesn't exist to "chip" people.
