This chapter tells of Christ's birth and how he grows in the Lord.It speaks of his righteousness, grows in knowledge and how he deals with wickedness.
This Chapter also speaks of aggressive, dangerous animals getting along with lowly and meek ones.
This is where the Millennium part comes in.
Although this text is going from the present back to the beginning of the Church age.
Verse 6 speaks of people. It is telling us that now, once though we were enemies,we are now brothers in Christ.Take for example Saul/Paul,people at one time feared him, like a lamb would a Lion. But now we can all lied down beside each other because of Christ.
A child can play over the hole of the Asp,or false doctrine, and the Spirit will take care of him/her.
This is how I see this text.

I believe that part of Isaiah 11 is talking about the new heavens and new earth, when Christ comes to restore all things at the end of the age. That would be after the millennium.
