Islam and its problems!

Muslims usually have strong prejudices and objections against the message of the gospel, especially on such matters as the reliability of the Bible and the position of Jesus, which may prevent them receiving the gospel.

They think the Bible is not in its original form, but has been changed and twisted in the past, and also the Koran has displaced the Bible. Concerning Jesus, they think he did not die on the cross, that he is not the Son of God or in any way equal with God; in other words they deny in principle all these basic principles of faith, associated with Jesus. In addition, they also have other misconceptions (among other things, that they connect Christianity with the Western world), and for that reason they do not want in any way to examine this matter more closely, which is regrettable.

The most common objections which Muslims can have, are dealt with in the following. We will especially try to answer them with the help of the Bible, but we also use the holy book of Muslims, the Koran. The issues, which we are going to deal with, are certainly important for everyone to know.

It would seem to me that the Koran uses the Bible to substantiate its validity
The Bible does not use anything to stubstantiate itself, it merely is. That would seem to me to qualify the Bible as the authority and the Koran as trying to tag along. But that is true of many books that are not of GOD. They all point to the Bible as proof of their own validity, but then disparage the authority

Petri Muslims respect and recognize the Gospel that Jesus(pbuh) taught.

" And in their footsteps, We sent Jesus, son of Mary, confirming the Torah that had come before him, and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirmation of the Torah that had come before it, a guidance and an admonition... And We have sent down to you this Quran in truth, confirming the Scripture that came before it..(5:46,48)

As for the current Bible it has been altered and there is proof of that because it has undergone recent changes.

"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." (John 5:7)
This was the only strongest evidence of the Doctrine of Trinity and has been deleted from Bibles of modern age such as the New International Version.

Also in John chapter 3 verse 16: "For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son." the word "begotten" has been taken out of the Revised Standard version and other versions of the Bible.

These are only recent alterations the Bible as undergone and proves indefinatly that it has occured many times in the past. As for Jesus Christ(pbuh) Muslims love and respect him for what he is, a messanger of God.

"When Allah will say: O Jesus son of Mary! Remember My favor on you and on your mother, when I strengthened you with the Holy Spirit, you spoke to the people in the cradle and when of old age, I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you determined out of clay a thing like the form of a bird by My permission, then you breathed into it and it became a bird by My permission, and you healed the blind and the leprous by My permission; and when you brought forth the dead by My permission; and when I withheld the children of Israel from you when you came to them with clear arguments, but those who disbelieved among them said: This is nothing but clear enchantment." (5:110)

"He (Jesus) said: Verily! I am a slave of Allâh, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet; And He has made me blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me prayer, and Zakât, as long as I live. And dutiful to my mother, and made me not arrogant or unblest. And peace be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!" Such is Jesus, son of Mary. It is a statement of truth, about which they doubt (or dispute)." (19:30-34)

Furthermore most Muslims do not convert to Christianity because it has nothing to offer them. They already have Jesus, God, and salvation.

How do you figure that the Koran uses the Bible to substantiate itself or like you said use it to try and tag along? Please elaborate

Peace be upon those who follow guidance,
I start with the name of Almighty G-d, The Most Merciful The Enterly Compassionate, and send blessings on All His Prophets and Messengers.

To Proceed

Are those really problems? Whomsoever is reading, the author of the original post has brought up some interesting points, which would require a beautiful interfaith dialogue.

Though as people who according to James 4:7 should Submit to G-d, what Muslims claim the word Islam can mean, we should discuss and put preconditions aside, and as John claims Jesus says, we should 'seek the truth for the truth will set you free'.

But it seems this is not possible, else I would be breaking rules:

1 - This is a Christian site, therefore, any attempt to put down Christianity and the basic tenets of our Faith will be considered a hostile act.

1 Tenant of faith = "The bible is the inspired, infallible, and only authoritative Word of God."

3 - No active promotion of other Faiths is allowed.

Deu 13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
Deu 13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
Deu 13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deu 13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
Deu 13:5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.
