Atheism seems to have been a common theme in games throughout the past decade. Final Fantasy X kicked it off by drawing an insulting parallel to the Catholic Church (I'm not even Catholic), and the Xenosaga series, one of the greatest RPG's of all time, was based on the writings of a German philosopher, who theorized that if humanity gave up all sense of morality, we would become what he called "supermen." And guess who the final boss was in that game? A grotesque parody of God.
Now Final Fantasy XIII, a game which I used to look forward to, has continued with the industry's recurring theme, the antagonists being religious zealots.
Demons, atheism and now most recently the lionizing of Islamic heros (Assassin's Creed franchise) polute the industry, and my question is why hasn't anyone made a big budget Christian game for a change? Are the Christian developers cowards, or is the industry just too hostile for a Christian project to exist?
