Why?why did she have to be a virgin before and not after - every year she journeyed the rugged way to Jerusalem for the Passover festival - this would be family planning 'par excellence' - twinc
Okay, I'm not certain that is relevant but okay.it seems Jesus said to those who fancied themselves as the scripture scholars of His day 'Ye do err not knowing the scriptures' - twinc
And in that context, they would not have been there, literally every year but would have gone up every year after God called them to return.Luk 2:41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.
I tend to have them in Egypt too long.
I think what it means, Bill, is that even today, some of us here might be making errors.Okay, I'm not certain that is relevant but okay.
Why?
How?
She had to be a virgin Before because the Holy Spirit would be the father.
Please answer how journeying to Jerusalem every year had anything to do with Jesus having siblings.

No Comment.do you mean to say or imply that the H/S wants nothing to do with married women as virgins are holier - btw they did not have or approve of contraception or abortion in those days and any pregnancy would be risky imho - twinc
Actually, that is a comment......No Comment.
Actually, that is a comment......
Just playin - :wink
NO IT'S NOT!!!!!!!!Genesis 2:24
For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
Matthew 1:24
And Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took Mary as his wife,
It's in the Bible!

Now THAT is a scripture you should take to heart........it seems Jesus said to those who fancied themselves as the scripture scholars of His day 'Ye do err not knowing the scriptures' - twinc
Just between you and me, no. But the fact is, 'the Bible' says Joseph 'took Mary as his wife' before Jesus was born and 'the Bible' tells us the reason a man leaves his father and his mother is; they shall become one flesh.Do you believe Joseph "knew" Mary before Christ was born?

After Mathew 1:24 comesDo you believe Joseph "knew" Mary before Christ was born? I assume you just mean he took her as his wife, and then after the birth, they got to "know" each other.
Aw, come on. If you know anything about our God you know that He wants no part of sin and would have everything perfect again and it will be on the New Earth. ¿And a risky pregnacy? Everything completed by God is perfect.do you mean to say or imply that the H/S wants nothing to do with married women as virgins are holier - btw they did not have or approve of contraception or abortion in those days and any pregnancy would be risky imho - twinc
If you learn some manners and learn how to ask questions you will not make everyones blood boil so that we have to take 10 deep breaths before we type an answer to you. Instead of flying off the handle telling absurd lies such as "it is not in the bible - twinc" you could have gotten much further by asking, "Where in the Bible does it say that?" I would not feel like lecturing you about being a man, either.who says so or imagines so - it is not in the bible - twinc
