It is the SPIRIT in man, the breath of the Almighty, that makes him understand

Job 32:8
But it is the spirit [H7307] in a person, the breath of the Almighty, that gives them understanding.
Strong's Hebrew: 7307. ר֫וּחַ (ruach) — 377 Occurrences

Brown-Driver-Briggs:
1 breath of mouth or nostrils (33 t.)
2 wind (117 t.):
3 spirit, as that which breathes quickly in animation or agitation = temper, disposition (76 t
4 spirit of the living, breathing being, dwelling in the בָּשָׂר [flesh body] of men and animals (25 t.):
5 spirit as seat of emotion
6 occasionally, (and late) = seat or organ of mental acts
7 rarely of the will
8 רוּחַ especially of moral character
9 spirit of God (94 t)

Elihu used ruach in the sense of intellect (#6). He foreshadowed John 14:
26 But the Helper [Paraclete], the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

The Paraclete Spirit connects to our human spirit to teach us. This is a spiritual reality.

The disciples had no clue they had the Messiah before them until the day of Pentecost when their Spiritual eyes and ears were opened as they only knew Him as a prophet sent by God. Before the crucifixion of Jesus they all fled in fear they too would be taken by the Roman guards as being followers of Jesus and be killed as He was killed. Even Peter denied knowing Him three times, even after stating He was the son of God. They did not wait by the tomb, Matthew 27:57-61, as only one man begged for the body of Jesus, wrapped Him in linen and laid Him in his own tomb, Matthew 27:57-61.

They didn't even recognize Him when He came to them and told them to cast their nets on the right side of the boat as they went in the evening to fish and then gathered themselves in the upper room behind locked doors in fear the Jews would siege them, John 21:1-14.

There are three times written in the scriptures where Jesus appeared unto His disciples and they didn't even recognized Him until He proved to them who He was as they had no understanding at that time that God would raise Jesus from the dead. , Luke 24:36-49 John 20:19-20; 21:1-12

None, but John, Mary the mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene and other women followers of Christ were present during the crucifixion. Only one man begged Pilate for the body of Jesus and wrapped Him in linen and laid Him in the tomb while Mary and Mary Magdalene were sitting over against the sepulcher, Matthew 27:57-61.

Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Will we stand in faith giving no thought of our life when the guillotine is before us, or in fear for our own life seeing the guillotine will He hear us say I denounce Jesus to spare my life.

Are we truly recognizing Christ as our Lord and Savior trusting Him in all things giving no thought for our own life? It's easy to say we are, but in the face of greater persecutions even to death what will come out of your mouth.

Examine yourself if you are truly ready for the Lord's return and if you do not know Jesus then I ask you to accept Him as your Lord and Savior before it's to late for you.

Act 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Act 2:37 Now when they heard this, (the word of God being preached to them) they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

What about Matthew 16:16
Mat 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

The Spirit of God revealed to Peter who Jesus is, but yet not having the Spiritual knowledge to truly understand what it meant to be the Son of the living God as Messiah come that is why he denied Jesus three times as being a follower of Christ he feared they would crucify him too.

Again in John 20:1-10 Peter and John ran to the tomb where Jesus was laid after Mary Magdalene came running to them to tell them someone stole the body of Jesus. Go down to vs. 9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. The disciples only knew Jesus as a Prophet sent by God, but had no concept of the many things Jesus taught them, especially about His death and resurrection.

It would not be until the day of Pentecost that their Spiritual eyes and ears would be opened as God poured out the Holy Spirt upon the disciples and Peter then stood up to preach the word of God being led by the Holy Spirit God breathed upon him, Acts 2
