Wow! So it was actually God all the while. I had always thought all the salvation thing was started by Christ Jesus. It was actually God the Father (through the mouth of one of the Angels < Rev. 5 >) that started the journey to our redemption. HE (God the Father) said (through the Angel): Who shall I send and who will go for ME??? Then Christ volunteered to do that. Jn 3:16

Isn't that amazing??? What if God hadn't asked the question?

And I think Christ would have still done something (Christ being as Merciful) if the Father had not yet made a move.

We see the plan of salvation laid out in Genesis

I love the old hymn that says:

'What raised the wondrous thought?
Or who did it suggest,
That blood bought saints to glory brought
Should with the Son be blessed?

Father, the thought was Thine,
And Thine alone could be.
Fruit of the wisdom, love divine,
Peculiar unto Thee.'

Nice one...though a little sophisticated

<dir><dir>Gen 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
<dir>Gen 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

The foretelling of the Christ is every where in Scripture

A corollary is the old Southern US saying about the book of Revelation.

"I read the last pages of the book, and: our side won!"
