Jesus Christ Is The Promised Land

Many people, especially the Jewish people, are looking for God to lead them back to the 'Promised Land'. It all starts in Genesis...

Genesis 12:1-3 New International Version (NIV)
12 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

2 “I will make you into a great nation,
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.3 I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.”

People are looking for the Promised Land to be this great expanse of land, a nation. But in reality the Promised Land is a little smaller than what people imagine. The Promised Land is none other than Jesus Christ himself.

Consider that Jesus Christ is God become man therefore God took upon human form and that human form was made from the dust of ground.

Genesis 2:7 New International Version (NIV)
7 Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Jesus Christ is the Promised Land for Jesus was born human and that human body came from the dirt of the ground. Because Jesus Christ is sinless all the land that made up Jesus Christ's body is now the Promised Land!

People believe that the Promised Land is some fixed area on this earth when in fact it is the 'body and blood' of Jesus Christ! Equally important is the fact that when Jesus Christ died on the cross and was resurrected 3 days later the Promised Land went up into heaven.

People are looking for the Promised Land down here on earth when, in fact, it is now sitting on the right hand of God the Father in heaven, as God's son Jesus Christ.

Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God become man, and you'll then become one with Jesus Christ through the indwelling Holy Spirit and you'll finally enter into the Promised Land!

God Bless

Interesting take on the Promised Land. My study of the Hebrew Scriptures (OT) shows the Promised Land to be Canaan, a geographical location with boundaries. In the New Testament, in the Book of Hebrews we see in Chapter 11 Verses 4-16 this Promised land would become a "City", not made by man's hands, but by God as it says here in Hebrews 11:9 about Abraham. "By faith he went to live in the land of promise [Promised Land], as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise." 11:10 "For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God."

Heb 11:4 By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he was commended as righteous, God commending him by accepting his gifts. And through his faith, though he died, he still speaks.
Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God.
Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.
Heb 11:9 By faith he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise.
Heb 11:10 For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God.
Heb 11:11 By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised.
Heb 11:12 Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born descendants as many as the stars of heaven and as many as the innumerable grains of sand by the seashore.
Heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.
Heb 11:14 For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland.
Heb 11:15 If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return.
Heb 11:16 But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city."

My take on this is that in order to agree with you, I would have to believe that Jesus' body was created out of the dust of the ground, as you have implied in this statement of yours, "Jesus Christ is the Promised Land for Jesus was born human and that human body came from the dirt of the ground. Jesus was born of a virgin woman, not directly created out of the earth. We cannot say that Jesus was created and you'd have to say that in order to imply that He came from the dirt. I realize what you're trying to say, that even though Jesus had a human birth, that goes indirectly to Adam who was created out of the dust of the ground.

Actually, There will be for Israel, the final Promised Land which is the Celestial City of God called the New Jerusalem. For the Church of Jesus Christ, we will abide with Jesus in that Holy City, never again to experience what goes on now. Glory to God, and praise the Name of Jesus the soon coming King.
