Jesus & Mohammed

Why would the same God/Allah ....change so much....

I believe God is unchanging in his Laws and his love for mankind...Although we cannot see the bigger picture God has planned for us all...yet!...His message never changed throughout the OT and the NT...He wants to be worshiped, honoured, he wants us to keep his Laws for our own good.......and he wants us to follow Jesus teachings...as of the NT

God sends Jesus...whether you believe Jesus was the son of God or not! Is not important to my questions..

Jesus was full of love...he never hurt anyone, he was pure and innocent.
and he brought Gods message to his Children...telling us the most important things where to Love God above all else...and the second was to love one another with all our hearts as we love ourselves......to turn the other cheek....to love you enemy...his message was LOVE...
the message was given us...it wasn't forced on us...and still isn't...you have free will to either accept what God wants for us...or you don't accept....

Even Paul ....was a bad man turned good, when he heard the words of Jesus...Why do you persecute me...Jesus asked him.....after he was hounding Christians...

Paul changed, his heart changed...he worked and lived for Jesus for God word... for the truth to be spread throughout the gentils nations.......he did this with love...not with the sword! And with Jesus helping him along the way..

There are no contidictions in Jesus' message. We know he was the innocent Lamb who was sacrificed for our sins...

________________________________________________________

Then seven hundred years later....God/Allah...changes his mind
...
He speaks to Mohammed through Gabriel...why Gabriel....all other prophets where spoken to by God..himself...I believe.... correct me if I'm wrong..

Then the message from God changes...it becomes one of convert or be killed.....why would God do that?...

For unbelievers is the chastisement of fire...When God since the beginning of time as given us freewill....to choose ourselves what we want to believe in...

Why would God now tell Mohammed not to trust Jews or Christians? To slay them...when Christians where following the words of Jesus' message...who Muslims say is a massanger from God. So why did God turn against the Jews and Christians....Some Jews didn't accept Jesus...but God didn't tell Christians to slay them...tell them that they had to convert or else.......But now God does all of a sudden...

What ever happened to God telling us through Jesus...we would be forgiven for our sins through him...wasn't that our contract with God...if we became Christian...our new convernant with God......I don't know of any other contract God as broken....it is usually his Children who break their word...not God!..........If God broke it...wasn't Jesus' death a waste of time?...

Why are we told so many times in the Koran...that Allah doesn't love people who do this and people who do that....things that do not please him...
Yet I understand God loves everyone equally.....yet he does punish....like a loving father would....

Has Christians where told...with our new contract with God... we do not have to follow the food laws that the Jews do...because God has made all food clean now....Yet 700years later...God makes the food unclean again!...and now you can no longer eat Pork...

60.9: Allah only forbids you respecting those who made war upon you on account of (your) religion, and drove you forth from your homes and backed up

Now 7 hundred years earlier...Jesus tells us to Love everyone as ourselves...l...even our enemies.....so why this change?????
If we are slapped...turn and give our enemy our other cheek....now God...tells us that's it's ok to kill again....and don't even give then one cheek....

I just do not believe God would change this much...His whole personally
has changed, from giving freewill to all men from the OT...to sending Jesus to spread Love for one another....telling us that Jesus is the only way into...Gods Kingdom along with keeping Gods laws...

Now God takes away the freewill away of man...and telling us he forbids us to respect....enemies...

What a turn about...they is so much more...that doesn't make sense....I don't know how Muslims say they can believe the God of the Bible...when he is so different to who they pray to...

....

does anyone else wonder about this? If you believe Allah is God...why do you think his personality changed so much?

Can you think of any other examples of Gods personality change from the Holy Bible to the Koran.

God and Allah are the same and no change in personality occurred. Read the O/T. The God of the O/T is not a nice guy. The God of the N/T is silent. An angel spoke to Mary and Jesus spoke to Paul at least according to Paul. I can't find anywhere that God spoke to anyone in the N/T. Islam accepts the O/T and claims lineage to Abraham and accepts Jesus as a prophet and not a savior. If you don't believe in their God why should they believe in yours?

The God of Judaism/Christianity, and Allah, are not the same. Any serious reading of the 2 belief systems will explain the differences. To attempt to equate the 2 is simply folly and a lack of understanding of the monotheistic faiths. Perhaps a visit to one of the Jewish sites will be able to explain the differences and clear up any confusion.

So then the Muslims must accept that the Jews are the chosen people because this is stated all throughout the OT. The OT also says that the sons of Ishmael will live in hostility with their brothers. Do the Muslims believe this also? And if the Muslims accept the OT, then why did they write the Koran and change the laws? How can they also consider Jesus a great prophet yet not listen to his words in the NT?Jesus talks about being from God, that he is the ONLY way to God, that he will send us the Holy Spirit, that "I and the Father are one" all throughout the gospels. So again, how can the Muslims say he is a great prophet when they don't believe most of his words????

Different in every way

Mohammed was born in Mecca in the year 570 A.D.  Mohammed's father was Abdallah, of the family of Hashim, who died soon after his son's birth. He was orphaned early in his life after his mother died and was raised by his uncle Abu-Talib beginning at age 6.

Mohammed spent his early life as a shepherd and an attendant of caravans. At the age of 20 Mohammed was hired by a wealthy woman named Khadija (or Khadeejah) to manage her late husband's caravan business.  Soon later, when Mohammed was 25 he married Khadija; six children were born to them, but only one survived to adulthood; his beloved daughter Fatima.  While in the caravan business Mohammed happened to make many journeys to Syria and Palestine.  During this time Mohammed became acquainted with both Jews and Christians.  Later, Mohammed would cause things to be written in the Koran about both Jewish and Christian history, which shows that Mohammed did not possess an intellect befitting a historian.  These Qu'ran (Enlish=Koran) entries you will see below are marred with gross errors and inattention to detail. It is also said that Mohammed could not write.  Mohammed had a monk-like demeanor, and he was addicted to fasting and prayer.  He was also subject to epileptic fits.

Greatest False Teachings in the Qu'ran:

The New Testament repeatedly declares that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He was crucified and resurrected to both pay for our sins and to make possible our salvation, but the Qu'ran expressly denies all these things.  If you accept Islam, you forever reject Jesus.  It is a decision that will effect where you spend eternity.

The New Testament was written by people who walked with Jesus.  Mohammed only heard about Jesus (called Isa in the Qu'ran) six centuries later, and even what he heard he seems to have gotten confused.

Jesus was not merely a Prophet

Christians need to remember, Jesus Christ warned us that if you deny Him, He will deny you before the Father.   Muslims falsely believe they have "this base" covered because they show reverence to Jesus as a "great Prophet" only.

You "deny" Jesus when you do not follow His teachings, such as He is the only way to the Father and salvation.  You deny Jesus when you do not make Him the center of your life.  Jesus of Nazareth is the Jewish Messiah foretold thousands of years before His arrival (see here) by numerous Prophets of God.  Jesus led a sinless life.  And only Jesus, the Son of the Father is the awaited Christ and mediator between you and the Father.

found at http://www.bibleprobe.com/muhammed.htm

Islam is built on subtle lies which have been concocted by evil men in order to maintain cohesion and discipline within their robber band.  Islam is the only religion that says that Jesus did not die on the cross.  Islam denies this historical fact about Jesus which therefore negates the salvation given us by the Son of God's painful death and miraculous resurrection from the dead.  Even the Jewish Sanhedrin (High Religious Court) in Jerusalem admits Jesus died there.   In addition to the writers of the 4-Gospels, the Jewish Babylonian Talmud (Sanhedrin 43a) from the Tannaitic Period recorded: "On the eve of Passover Yeshu was hanged".... This means on a wooden cross.

The Miracle Surrounding the Death of Jesus

Also, A pagan historian by the name of Thallus, who lived shortly after the resurrection of Christ (about A.D. 52) wrote concerning a miraculous darkness that covered the earth at the Passover of A.D. 32 and attempted to explain it as an eclipse of the sun.

Islam claims to be a religion of "the book" which would have one believe it is a continuance of that book God revealed to his Jewish Prophets.  If it were, it would not deny what is in that "book".  If it were, it would know the name of the true God is not Allah, but Jehovah (Yahweh)....
To be saved - you only have to know One name and it is NOT Allah. The name of Allah is found nowhere in "the book".   As you will see below, "Allah" was an old pagan tribal "moon god" in the Mecca area.

Muslims have to get over the lie that God cannot begot. He surely did. He did it in "the book".  Look to Genesis where God says;

Genesis 1:26 (4000 Before Christ):
"And God said, Let us make man in our image...."

Proverbs 30:4 (700 Before Christ): "Who hath ascended up into heaven or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in His fists? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the ends of the Earth? What is His name, and what is His son's name, if thou canst tell?"

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Note: Begotten means "come from" without necessarily being created.  Before the beginning of time, Jesus, who is also called the Word of God and the Logos, came from God the Father. Logos means the divine Word of God; the second person in the Trinity (incarnate in Jesus).

Only a few

Mohammed was the prophet of war; Christ is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6-7).

Mohammed's disciples killed for the faith; Christ's disciples were killed for their faith (Acts 12:2; 2 Timothy 4:7).

Mohammed promoted persecution against the "infidels"; Christ forgave and converted the chief persecutor (1 Timothy 1:13-15).

Mohammed was the taker of life; Christ was the giver of life (John 10:27-28).

Mohammed and his fellow warriors murdered thousands; Christ murdered none but saved many (compare John 12:48).

Mohammed's method was COMPULSION; Christ's aim was voluntary CONVERSION (Acts 3:19).

Mohammed practiced FORCE; Christ preached FAITH (John 6:29, 35).

Mohammed was a WARRIOR; Christ is a DELIVERER (Col. 1:13; 1 Thessalonians 1:10).

Mohammed conquered his enemies with the sword; Christ conquered his enemies with another kind of sword, the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God (Hebrews 4:12; Acts 2:37).

Mohammed said to the masses, "Convert or die!"; Christ said, "Believe and live!" (John 6:47; 11:25-26).

Mohammed was swift to shed blood (Romans 3:15-17); Christ shed His own blood for the salvation of many (Ephesians 1:7).

Mohammed preached "Death to the infidels!"; Christ prayed "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34).

Mohammed declared a holy war (Jihad) against infidels; Christ achieved a holy victory on Calvary's cross (Colossians 2:14-15) and His followers share in that victory (John 16:33).

Mohammed constrained people by conquest; Christ constrained people by love (2 Corinthians 5:14).

Modern terrorists derive their inspiration from Mohammed and carry out their despicable atrocities in the name of his god; Christians derive their inspiration from the One who said, "Blessed are the peacemakers" (Matthew 5:9).

Modern day disciples of Mohammed respond to the terrorist attacks by cheering in the streets; Modern day disciples of Christ are deeply grieved at past atrocities carried out by those who were "Christians" in name only (the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, etc.).

Many Muslims are peaceful and peace-loving because they do not strictly follow the teachings of their founder; Many Christians are peaceful and peace-loving because they do strictly follow the teachings of their Founder (Romans 12:17-21).

Mohammed said the Koran is authoritative only in Arabic, and only in his dialect; The Bible is authoritative in many languages around the world, for God knows all things and can inspire (and preserve) His Word in more than one language.

Mohammed hated music; Jesus and His disciples sang hymns, and the Apostle commanded the Lord's Church to sing. (Matthew 26:30, Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16).

Mohammed allowed that a Mullah, Imam, or Mufti of Islam can be a terrorist and an amoral animal like Osama bin Laden; The Bible requires that a leader in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ must be above reproach, and when this is not true, Christians demand such a fallen leader be removed from leadership. (1 Timothy 3:1-7, 5:19-20).

Islam calls on its followers to observe Five Pillars, while all other aspects of life can be vulgar and not affect the Muslim's prospects in Paradise. The Bible calls on the Christian to submit to the total change of his life by the Spirit of God -- NO area of life and thought is the choice of the follower. (Romans 12:1-2).

The Muslim looks forward to eternity in Paradise where there will be virgins who are used for eternal perpetual copulation.

The Bible believing Christian looks forward to being with Jesus Christ and is delighted with that. (2 Corinthians 5:8).

Mohammed said the witness of a woman was half the value of the witness of a man; and Muhammed said a woman goes to Paradise because she satisfies her husband sexually; The Bible teaches that a husband is to love his wife and be willing to die for her. (Ephesians 5:25).

Mohammed called upon his servants to fight; Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world; if My kingdom were of this world, then would My servants fight . . . but now is My kingdom not from hence" (John 18:36).

Differences between Christ & Mohammed.
Mohammed ordered death to the Jews (see A. Guillaume, The Life of Muhammad, Oxford University Press [1975], p. 369); Christ ordered that the gospel be preached "to the Jew first" (Romans 1:16).

The Koran says, "Fight in the cause of Allah" (Qu'ran 2.244); The Bible says, "we wrestle not against flesh and blood" and "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal" (Ephesians 6:12; 2 Corinthians 10:4).

The Koran says, "Fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them" (Qu'ran 9.5); Christ said, "Preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15).

The Koran says, "I will inspire terror into the hearts of unbelievers" (Qu'ran 8.12); God inspires His terror into the hearts of believers (Isaiah 8:13).

I have no confusion ...in the matter......I was told directly from the Holy Spirit last April, besides many more things....I would just like other Christians to see their folly...

You will have to talk to the members of Islam for the details and how they come to their conclusions. I am sure their reasonings are just as valid for their beliefs as yours are. Like the Jews they acknowledge one God and only one . Even Jesus said God is greater than he. Whatever the interpretation of God, the God in the O/T is the God they are referring and acknowledge. I personally don't believe in any God but you are saying there is more than one.

Isaiah 12

1 And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
5 Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.
Shalom and love in the name of YESHUA coming soon

To imply that since Muslims believe in 1 god, therefore that is the same as Judaism or Christianity is quite illogicial.
Many Egyptians believed in Ra, 1 god. That does not make Ra the same as Jehovah.
Notwithstanding what others have said, Allah was one of the pagan gods in Arab culture. Allah was, according to what I've read, a moon god, whom Mohammed adopted as his 1 god.
The Koran denies the divinity of Jesus, that is a major sign Christians are to use to determine the spirit of a matter. Simply mixing in a little Old Testament or New Testament ideas to 'gee whiz' potential followers won't cut it.
For a Christian , the issue should be settled then. A lie has been perpetrated, therefore, the spirit of Allah is not to be believed or associated with the 1 true God. It is something quite else.
If one is still searching for some enlightenment on this, I have found a Jewish board to be helpful on certain questions. From what I've gleaned from this site, it seems to be composed of either Christians or non-Christians. Perhaps a Jewish perspective would offer other information worth considering. Just a thought.

Hello sister Nicolaj

How can an innocent Lamb who was sacrificed to be God or Son of God Nicolaj!!!!!

Nicolaj said:

God did not change his mind, it does not make sense for God to change his mind isn’t it Nicolaj.
God sent Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to confirm the true message of Jesus
Jesus has been sent to specific people in a specific time.
The true message of Jesus has been changed and God’s words has been mixed with Man’s Words so that’s why God sent prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for the whole world.

6. And (remember) when 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), said: "O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allâh unto you confirming the Taurât [(Torah) which came] before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed . But when he (Ahmed i.e. Muhammad ) came to them with clear proofs, they said: "This is plain magic." (Qur’an 61: 6)

157. Those who follow the Messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write (i.e.Muhammad ) whom they find written with them in the Taurât (Torah) (Deut, xviii, 15) and the Injeel (Gospel) (John xiv, 16) , - he commands them for Al-Ma'rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm has ordained); and forbids them from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism of all kinds, and all that Islâm has forbidden); he allows them as lawful At-Taiyibât [(i.e. all good and lawful) as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.], and prohibits them as unlawful Al-Khabâ'ith (i.e. all evil and unlawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.), he releases them from their heavy burdens (of Allâh's Covenant), and from the fetters (bindings) that were upon them. So those who believe in him (Muhammad ), honour him, help him, and follow the light (the Qur'ân) which has been sent down with him, it is they who will be successful .(Qur’an 7:157)

And This promise from Allah Almighty to protect the Qur’an
*{We have, without doubt, sent down the Reminder [i.e., the Qur’an]; and We will assuredly guard it [from corruption].}* (Al-Hijr 15:9)

The difference between Islam and the religions before Islam, including heavenly religions, is in who was assigned with the protection of the message. In Islam, Allah entrusted Himself with the protection of the Qur'an; whereas, before, only humans were entrusted to the protection of the divine Scriptures.

The Qur'an says what means:
*{It was We who revealed the law [to Moses]: therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the prophets who bowed [as in Islam] to Allah's will, by the rabbis and the doctors of law: for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah's book, and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men, but fear Me, and sell not My signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by [the light of] what Allah hath revealed, they are [no better than] unbelievers.}* (Al-Ma'idah 5:44)

So, because Allah is the Trustee of the Qur'an, He protected it from any corruption, and because humans were the trustees over the other books, they corrupted them by additions and deletions.

95% of the O/T agrees with the Quran and Muslims trace their beginnings to Abraham. It can't be more obvious than that.
