Will there be guns in the world after our Lord Jesus Christ returns? What about hospitals?

When Jesus returns I think it talked about a war mankind and Satan fight against Jesus and His army. So perhaps there are guns. But on the other hand the is also a verse about turning our swords into plowshears, and convoys that we will throw away our weapons. So I think (and hope) that we will remove all weapons from our world eventually, after Jesus returns.

As for hospitals, I think there will be no need for them, so I doubt they will still be around after Jesus returns and all the promises prophesied about no death or disease will come to be. Or at least that too is my hope.

Another thought though is how much technology will we have or will we let go of? Guns and hospitals could be the easiest to answer with bibical authority, but I've wondered if there would still be planes and cars. Or computers, tv, video games, and movies. I see no reason to doubt we would have houses or something like them, but would we be sparse across the earth, or in large groups like cities where we would have apartments and hotels? Would we need energy grids and fuel for electrucity, power, heating, manufacturing, and unfortunately also enviornmently poisoning the world around us, and taking up resources of the paridise on earth? Would we have phones or cell phones; or would those seem like a distraction, or depend on another technology that we are removing from the world. And would there be new technology at that time in the future, or new technology that we develope after Jesus returns. Would the space around the Earth be filled with orbiting satilites, or would we do away with that as Well?

The thought of what the world would be like after Jesus returns is an intreasting question. One that we have only a few answers for from the bible. But purposes it's even to the point of what would the world look like that could stretch our question of after Jesus returns. I know what the world looks like at this time in history with men and women at the reigns. But I wonder and hope about the new Earth that Jesus would have that we live in with Him.

The 1000 year millennial reign of Christ will be a very interesting time to live in. Personally, I believe that Christ will show us how we are (were supposed to be) to be living upon the earth. I think technology will go away and we will live simpler lives, and that anything that technology provided us, we'll be able to do ourselves (through Christ).

Travel (we'll be able to fly), cell phones (telepathy), computers i.e., information (we'll be in Christ), medical (in Christ)...and so forth.

I think we'll live in natural housing. Caves and houses built from stone and so forth...

As it was in the beginning of God's creation in Genesis that He saw all was good so it will be in the end as God makes all things new, Rev 21:1 for God is Alpha and Omega.

Rev Chapter 20 is not a literal thousand years and has nothing to do with a thousand year reign of Christ here on earth. It never mentions the second coming of Christ or even him being on earth at this time of Satan being bound and then set loose for a little while. It never mentions Christ's reign on earth!

Revelations 20:4-6.
4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. Theyhad not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second deathhas no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

From this description it's hard to imagine a non-literal meaning, nor that Jesus would not reign with them as it says.

Before this thread gets too far off-topic, perhaps you should clarify what you mean by "after our Lord Jesus Christ returns". Do you mean for his supposed "1000 year reign" or do you mean after the Judgement, in the New Jerusalem?

I mean during our Lord Jesus Christ 1000 year reign. Also where will the Saints who have a Glorified Bodies Live?

And he shall judge between the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. Isaiah 2:4 NKJV

I think the last day, last hour, 1000 years, are all the same.
