JESUS: Savior of the Whole World

More than likely this article will be deleted by Free.

John wrote, "And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world" 1 John 2:2.

Some will say, "If the Father sent the Son to be the savior of the world, then why is it that the world is not saved?" God sees ALL THINGS in his Son Jesus Christ. As far as God is concerned Jesus has victoriously defeated sin, death and the devil and now sits in Heaven as, "The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords" Revelation 19:16. To deny that Jesus is the savior of the whole world is to deny the Gospel, which will cause one to be under God's judgment. There are several major doctrinal truths that determine whether or not one will be saved or lost, this is one of them.

Before Jesus died on the cross, he said, "It is finished" John 19:30. What did he mean by that? God requires two things for the salvation of fallen man. 1. A life of perfect obedience according to his Holy Law. 2. A perfect atonement for the sins of humanity. If Jesus had failed to fulfill all of the demands of God's Holy Law or if Jesus had not atoned for the sins of the whole world there would not have been a resurrection and we would all still be in our sins and without hope, 1 Corinthians 15:13.

The resurrection of Jesus was God's stamp of approval on the life and death of Jesus. Jesus has victoriously met all of the requirements for our salvation. Here is the best part. When God accepted Jesus back into heaven, we were accepted in him. This is why Paul said to the Colossians, "For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God" Colossians 3:3.

It is not my intention to cause trouble or violate the forum rules. My intention is to teach the Historical Gospel of Jesus to anyone that wants to hear it. There are several ways to teach the Gospel and win people to Christ, which you would probably call repeated posting of the same topic. I consider it a privilege to be able to post the Gospel of Jesus Christ on this Forum or any Forum. I will try to do better.

If Jesus is the savior of the whole world, then this will call many doctrines and religions into question. If Jesus is the savior of the whole world, then Calvinism is a damnable heresy. If Jesus is the savior of the whole world, then this also means that Jesus has reconciled us and the whole world unto God, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19. If Jesus is the savior of the whole world and Jesus has reconciled us and the world unto God, then this will make all religions worthless.

Some will say, "What about my Christian life, doesn't that count for something?" Of course it does, we are called to be witnesses for Christ and his Gospel. We are called to tell others that their sins have been dealt with and that they can have eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.

Every single individual who receives salvation, receives it through Jesus for sure Robert.

Maybe that is why Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man can come to the Father, but by me" John 14:6. Not by works, not by obedience to the law, not by religion. Jesus didn't come into the world to show us the way. Jesus came into the world to be the way.

Exactly Robert, nice you agree sir.

You may agree, but there are multitudes that don't agree. Here is one of the most beloved and one of the most hated scriptures in the Bible.

"But to him that does no works, but believes on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." Romans 4:5.

Many have died terrible deaths because of this scripture.

Many have died terrible deaths for all kinds of reasons sir, but as we know the real reason originated with the sin of Adam. Many who are not Christian are being shocked by the slow evolution of crime, the scene of this world is changing (1 Cor 7:31) rapidly enough that even those unbelievers are able to discern something is not right. I believe we are so very near the beginning of the greatest tribulation of all time that will end with God sending Jesus back to protect God's sheep.

I don't know why that scripture would be the inciter for someone to kill, but I could see how Acts 5:29 could be. At any rate I found that verse very strange, as I do not understand it, as an individual verse. When taken into the context of the conversation it was really talking about the undeserved kindness we receive from God because of our faith in Him.

That passage brought to memory the account of Jonah, who was sent to give a proclamation to ungodly ones residing in the city of Nineveh because of their badness. That proclamation was that in 40 days more they would be destroyed. When Jonah finally gave the proclamation, they repented, and although the kindness extended from God was undeserved, He chose to preserve those unrighteous ones. That really gives hope for the future of those who may be unrighteous when judgment is proclaimed upon them, but who are willing to repent.

I have an excellent book for you to read that will help you understand more about the spiritual conflict between the religious and those that are Christians. It is called, "Foxe's Book of Martyrs". Every Christian should own a copy.

God is not going to allow his people to go through a tribulation.

Are you not aware that, in the last century, more Christians have suffered and died as a consequence of their faith than in all the centuries since the Resurrection combined? God's people have, and do, suffer terrible trouble all around the world. But this is to be expected, as Scripture says (Matthew 5:10-12; John 15:20; 1 Corinthians 4:9-13; Romans 8:17-18, etc.). Only in the comfort and relative peace of western culture, do the Christians tell themselves they will be exempt from the terrible suffering that their brethren around the world have been enduring for a long time now. Check out the Voice of the Martyrs website for details: https://www.persecution.com/ )

I don't believe that Christians are going to go through a tribulation. The scripture says that when Jesus appears that we will appear with him, Colossians 3:4. Yes, Christians are being persecuted all over the world.

I don't believe that Christians are going to go through a tribulation.

Brother, they already are! That was my point. Would you assure the Christian about to have his head sawn off by a Muslim that "Christians aren't going to go through a tribulation"?

This is not the tribulation spoken of by Jesus in Matthew 24:21. The tribulation spoken of by Jesus took place after Jesus ascended into heaven. There will be tribulation for unbelievers when Jesus returns. Christians will suffer persecution until Jesus returns.

Interesting! What is your take on why Jesus said Mat 24:22, and why God allowed Rev 7:14 to be in the Bible as well. I understand that to me He will.
