Jesus shows us how to test the spirit of a man for demons

Matt 8:28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

Yes, it is so, that when you want to test if someone has a demon, all you have to do is show them the Word(Jesus) and they will cry out TORMENT, they will tell you to leave, they will try to change the subject, if they were close enough they will even lay a hand on you. Yes, that is the sure way to tell who has a demon, for they hate the name of Jesus for they are of an anti- Christ spirit and can not receive the Word to come in the flesh. We are to love the man and never gloat over their misery, but hate the spirit they are of.

Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

totally speechless, my mind is drip drip driping about to overflow with that sight, may he shine his might, in me, as it is in you, blessing above and all through out to you, my brothers and friends, FAMILY and neighbors, examples like this

You've always got interesting topics 4faithful, have you tried to use the word "Jesus" on anyone who's possessed yet.

How did you come up with the idea I answered your post? Did you see your post quoted? Did you state that we should do something up close to other people?

No I didn't say that, I asked 4faithful if she or he actually tried out this theory the OP states. I'm still waiting for their reply.
 
The point I am making is that ANYONE who posts after one of us has posted, has no other place for their post to go but somewhere below that last post of ours.

Since the world does not revolve around any particular person,,,,, all that means is that a person posted after you posted.

If YOU want to try getting up in someone's face, shouting "Jesus".... or if Diane wants to..... or if Henry wants to..... or if Derrick wants to.... Well, I guess you could take the post as being directed to you.

But, No, this reply was not specifically for you.

I'm saying, try getting all up in someone's grill, shouting, "Jesus", at them, and you just might get yourself punched out for no more reason than you being an ____. Nothing to do with "woo-woo" spirits.

Act 19:16 - And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Yep, this test might not work out the way the OP intended.:chair
 
And, also, the scripture doesn't say Jesus was trying to see if these guys had some bad spirits, nor do they say we are supposed to take this as a means of going around, doing "Spirit Testing."

We are always so eager to find something wrong in people.
 
you need no do anything but Have Faith in the One who Has/Is been sent from Yah. Have faith that The Spirit in you is Grater then the spirit that is in the world. Love and kindness^-^ The perfect love casts out all evil. So I pose, how can some one cast out a demon without first forgiving the man who has sinned? perhaps our biased opinions and false judgments prohibit us from becoming a vessel of Yahweh more fully, and only sadden our hearts about our brothers and sisters captive to sin making it harder to connect with and to them. Blessings

I quoted his post, in which he asked her if she had done this "Jesus declaring thing"... as reference to what I was also addressing. And I said that it would be something she should do, and tell us all how it went.

As I explained to him, (and it seems you missed it), at no time did he ever talk about himself doing that. (I even asked him if he had read his own post that I quoted.) Now, I can see a third-grader missing the obvious association, but they have only been reading a short while.

Your post is most obviously and plainly taken as a direct response to poetofparables, telling them to do it, especially because in no way did you make it clear that you weren't responding to them. Common sense dictates that you either directly name who you are responding to or in some other way indicate that you are agreeing and directing your response to the third person, the op in this case. That way there is no confusion.
