Jesus - The son of David

It is easy to see how Jesus and David are linked. David fought evil in three ways.

As a boy David fought the evil that came from the outside which was
Goliath

Then as a servant he fought evil that appeared within as King Saul pursued David relentlessly.

But David as King could not fight the evil inside himself - Bathsheba.

Jesus was just like David but Jesus fought evil all at once. Evil came from the outside by the Roman occupation (hint: Goliath). Evil came from within by the priests of the Temple who pursued Jesus relentlessly (hint: King Saul). Then Jesus fought evil from the inside with Satan himself (hint: the fight that David lost with Bathsheba).

The culmination of David's fight with evil all throughout David's life was placed upon Jesus all at the same time on the cross! Nothing can compared to Jesus Christ's fight with evil leading up to the cross for Jesus had to resist the Roman authorities, the Temple authorities, and Satan himself...Goliath - Saul - Satan ... and still remain sinless.

Thankfully God sent his own son Jesus Christ who was God become man to resist the temptations of all three forms of evil and conquer sin on the cross so all who believe in him shall have forgiveness of sin and eternal life.

God Bless

Yep: See Mat 1:1-17 and Luke 3:23-38

Actually, what He conquered by His death and resurrection was death, which is the consequence of sin. (The "wages" of sin is death)
God has always forgiven the sins of those who repented (like David) but all of mankind dies because all of mankind sins and there was no resurrection until the God the Logos (Word) became man, was crucified, died, and destroyed the power of death to hold mankind by his resurrection.

While David is certainly a type of Christ "Jesus the Son of David" indicated to Jews that He is their King-Messiah, who would re-establish David's throne over a redeemed and restored Israel, and set David as prince over Israel. Christ's genealogy is given to us in two Gospels to lead His human descent back to David. David's throne is to be an eternal throne.
I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah. (Psalm 89:3,4).

Even Pilate admitted Jesus is King of the Jews.
The placard which was nailed to the cross over Jesus' head that said "The King of the Jews" was a declaration of Jesus' "crime." He was condemned for claiming to be a king whom Caesar had not appointed which was an act of rebellion against Rome. Pilate was making a statement that anyone wanting to be King of the Jews (the messiah who drives out the Romans) could expect the same "enthronement."

It is Christ's throne that is eternal... David was a man... a sinner saved by grace.
Yes, and because he was a sinner saved by grace, he is with Christ and will be resurrected with all the saints, and then given the throne on redeemed and restored Israel during and beyond the Millennium (Ezek 37:24,25). Both Jacob and David are servants of Christ. Jacob was given the land, and David was given the throne:
And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

Jhn 19:19 - And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Jhn 19:20 - This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
Jhn 19:21 - Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.
Jhn 19:22 - Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.

You have posted scripture but have not stated you point.
Did you have a conclusion which you have drawn from those verses and which you would like to share?
