Many don't realize that God gave man only 120 Jubilees to have dominion:

Gen 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

See Leviticus 25 for more information Jubilees - A Jubilee is a release to liberty in the 50th year. However, the 50th year is also the 1st year in the next cycle. So until the last Jubilee there is actually 49 years between Jubilees.

Now some may argue that this is referring to other things such as Noah giving the people 120 year notice that the world was going to be destroyed by flood. According to the book of Jasher that was supposedly so. But God's spirit still strives with man today and people lives longer than 120 years old even after that time.

If you follow the count of Jubilees, you will notice significant events seem to fall every 10 Jubilees. Consider the 50th Jubilee. Since a Jubilee is a count of 50 years, that 50th Jubilee would be rather significant. And it was because this is when the Exodus occurred. Now the release of the Jews from their captivity in Babylon appears to correlate to the 70th Jubilee and then the 80th Jubilee appears to align with being declared the year that Jesus was crucified.

But instead of getting caught up in the alignment for a moment (which I'm sure many would dispute how to align the dating), let's consider something truly amazing.

If you count Pentecost properly - you would count 7 complete weeks and 1 day (You would NOT count 50 consecutive days). The Jews didn't count the New moon in the 7 weeks counts. The first day of the lunar month was the new moon, the 2nd day of a lunar month was the first day of the first week in a lunar month. Each lunar month have 4 weeks with Sabbaths on the 8th, 15, 22nd and 29th. So Since Pentecost begins count on the 16th day of the first month, it will always come to the 9th day of the 3rd Month. This is rather amazing right - so why count them? The mystery is that we are supposed to be counting down Jubilees.

Hippolytus mentions the correlation of the Pentecost count to the Jubilee in his commentary on the Psalms:

“Let us inquire, further, why there are one hundred and fifty psalms. That the number
fifty is sacred, is manifest from the days of the celebrated festival of Pentecost, which
indicates release from labors, and (the possession of) joy. For which reason neither fasting
nor bending the knee is decreed for those days. For this is a symbol of the great assembly
that is reserved for future times. Of which times there was a shadow in the land of Israel
in the year called among the Hebrews “Jobel” (Jubilee) which is the fiftieth year in
number, and brings with it liberty for the slave, and release from debt, and the like. …
Thus, then, it was also meet that the hymns to God on account of the destruction of
enemies, and in thanksgiving for the goodness of God, should contain not simply one set
of fifty, but three such, for the name of Father, and Son, and Holy Spirit. The number
fifty, moreover, contains seven sevens, or a Sabbath of Sabbaths; and also over
and above these full Sabbaths, a new beginning, in the eight, of a really new rest
that remains above the Sabbaths.”

Now for those that don't know this - the Jubilee is declared on the 10th day of the 7th Lunar month.

So let's RECAP:

Pentecost is the 9th day of the 3rd Month
Jubilee is declared on the 10 day of the 7th month (Day of Atonement).

Now here is something that CONFIRMS this count is true. When you count from the 9th day of the 3rd month to the 10 day of the 7th month you get 120 Days! How COOL is that?

There would be 21 days left in the 3rd month, then 3 months (4th 5th 6th) x 29.5 (days in a lunar month) and then count 10.5 days for the 7th month. = 120 days.

What is even more interesting is that if you count from this 9th day of the 3rd month to the 60th day, you land on the 9th of Av (when the Temple was destroyed). Interesting when you consider Solomons Temple was built in the 60th Jubilee.

Also, Daniels prophecy of 70 weeks is a prophecy of exactly 10 Jubilees.

Learn about the Jubilees because we should be counting them down until the 2nd Coming of Christ.
