It seems that the site has a particular twist for OSAS?? (Who knows??:()

With that being my idea, let me say that the beef with the ones (ONE) who contends for the faith on this subject, has me just agreeing with.. this subject!

Names of posters are not necessary! (to personal, even when we do not know who they are??)

I see at times a poster says what he wants to say with no interference from no one 'as I see it?'

And the guy that 'defends' against OSAS as false is a bad hombre! :chin
This is what 'i' would like to correct!

I get after 'one' for his needing help from the brass (Caesar) to enforce the 'guidelines?' of his posting [is all,] claiming to LOVE the ones that he could be challenging? No way do I believe in OSAS malarkey!

And this subject belongs in this theology thread.
Now for your remarks???

Elijah674, If you want to state a particular theology and discuss it go ahead and do so. You'll need to do that, or we'll need to close this.

We have a bunch of threads on OSAS topics. Most are still out there and open for you to post in, or you can start your own, but so far your OP is off to a bad start. How about you state your theology, and what you want to say, and back it up with Gods word? What we don't want to see are personal attacks against members, so keep that in mind. But, if you want to attack a theology, have at it.
I'll give you a chance to do that.:wave

Its funny, I see more people speak for conditional security or people who lean more towards "maybe" we can lose salvation. You should not feel left out with the false belief of losing salvation on this site.

I do not think that you personally are a bad hombre, just the false teaching of losing salvation.

I started a thread on eternal security and its truth and not ONE conditional security adherent discussed the scriptures and the exegesis of those scriptures with me.

If you would like to go over these scriptures and biblical rationals for eternal security, here are just a couple.

Apart from the Doctrine of eternal life, do you know that the bible offers all kinds of "rationales" to the validity of eternal security?

The Positional Rationale

The Logical Rationale

The Hand of God Rationale

The Experience Rationale

The Family of God Rationale

The Inheritance of God Rationale

The Body of Christ Rationale

The Sealing of the Holy Spirit Rationale

The Greek Tense Rationale

The Promise of God Rationale

The Eternal Life Rationale

The Love of God Rationale

The Sovereignty of God Rationale

The Imputation Rationale

The Logical rationale: Rom 8:31-32 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? (Romans 8:31-32)

Paul uses “a fortiori” logic to present God’s way of dealing with mankind.

If God is willing to Give mankind His Highest and Best(His Son,while we were ENEMIES) it stands to reason that he would not withhold the lesser(eternal life, deliverance from the lake of fire....as believers and children of God.)

The Greek tense Rationale: And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, you and your household.” (Acts 16:31)

The Greek word for “believe” in Acts 16:31 is pisteuo and is in the constantive aeroist tense which means to believe in a point of time which is perpetuated throughout eternity – and you shall be saved forever. This is referring to an instant of faith, and it means once and forever you are saved.

Hey gents, what my point was, is that I agree with (someone, I forgot his name? Sincerely! I pay NO attention to NAMES!) a post that BLASTS the OSAS thread. And NEVER will 'i' agree with the false teaching that most likely will fill hell as I see it?? (question mark)

Just a couple of thoughts on that.

Heb. 6:1-6 has it stated as...

[3] And this will we do, if God permit.
[4] For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and [[were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,]]
[5] And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
[6] If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

And 2 Peter 2 tells of 'some' Promising LIBERTY!

[19] While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
[20] For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
[21] For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
[22] But it [[[is happened]]] unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

And never mind that God stated that all of the prophets are subject to the Spirit of the prophets. 1 Cor. 14:32

The hand of God rationale uses an anthropomorphism approach to illustrate eternal security. An anthropomorphism assigns a human characteristic or a part of the human body to God which God does not have. Another is assigning God a human emotion towards a person that He does not have, but uses a word so we can understand, like HATE towards Esau.

and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. “My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. “I and the Father are one.” (John 10:28-30)

The word “never” in John 10:28-30 is a double negative in the Greek and means never, no not ever. Now, that is eternal security. Remember, a double negative in the Greek is different than in the English and provides much more emphasis on the negative when used. This passage goes on to say that no one is able to take them out of the hands of either Jesus Christ or the Father. This means that both the Father and the Son hold our hands. This is a sure-fire and eternal grip as found in Psalms 37:23-24.

The steps of a man are established by the Lord; And He delights in his way. When he falls, he shall not be hurled headlong; Because the Lord is the One who holds his hand. (Psalms 37:23-24)

And folks who believe this?? Some are sincerely deceived, in the case of these few ones perhaps the Rom. 2:14-15 holds sway? (yet notice where the Lords law is located?)

But these ones who will not give it up are classed as 1 John 5:16-17 with the sin unto death. (purely Presumptuous! Psalms 19:13) And this false teaching has been around many moons longer than the Holy Spirits STRIVING along beside Noah's preaching of Gen. 6:3 to give it up!

And did or does not God know who would or will be safe to save?? ABSOLUTELY! But that is not the question... He calls this BELIEVING FAITH! Heb. 11:1-2 + Heb. 11:13

Heb. 11
[1] Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
[2] For by it the elders obtained a good report.
[3] Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

+

[13] These all died [[in faith,]] not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Exactly. Here God goes to the trouble of giving His only Son as an offering for our sin, and we are told that we need only to accept the gift. What more can we do? God has done it for us!
I mean, the very idea that I am going to do something to earn or justify God's forgiveness sounds silly on the face of it.

The Greek tense Rationale: And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, you and your household.” (Acts 16:31)
See, that's one of those verses that I could use to fight the idea of "verse mining", that is, finding a verse to support (what I believe to be) a nutty idea! This verse tells me that if Dad accepts the Lord as Savior, then the whole family is saved.

But I disagree - I take this more as an indication that others in the home will see and follow the example, not that the LITERAL statement is true.

let me give my 2 cents on eternal security.. i have a know so salvation..i am secure in Christ.. I DO NOT GO TO BE AT NIGHT wondering if i will lose my salvation. a person can believe in osas but you better make sure your truly saved .. far to many hold to osa yet live like the devil every day... thats not salvation eternal security is about abiding in HIM ..if your not abiding in him then there is a problem..

This whole thing sounds like an attack against one or more people that disagree with you..
Why would that belong in the theology forum?
Or are you trying to discuss gracefully OSAS?

As the moderator suggested this thread closed.

*** Yep, we need to close this folks. ****
The A&T section is here to state a particular theology and debate it or discuss it. We're not going to use it as an attack on other theologies. users can address the theology being put up for debate. Ask questions of speak in defense of a particular theology , but without stating clearly what is being discussed, there is no value here in the A&T for idol chit-chat about random thoughts or rants.
