HI there!

Do you really, really believe that Lot's wife looked back to her former life and former home and was transformed into a pillar of salt...

or is that just a traditional story... told from generation to generation?

Genesis 19: 15, 17, 24-26
15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.

17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; 25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

IF your belief is only in tradition, then traditionally speaking... is this Lot's wife...

" South of the Sea, on the way to Eilat, is a rock salt formation that tourists are told is Lot's wife"

Well.. I believe the biblical account it true, but the pillar of salt identified as Lot's wife is simply "tradition".

There are a lot of supports though, in the archaeological findings at "Lot's Cave"...

Sure. By the way, there are pillars of salt around the Dead Sea. My pictorial Bible Dictionary shows the one that is believed was Lot's wife.
