it’s all about Jesus
Jesus says. "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
The law tells us how much we need Jesus.
In the eyes of God no one will be justified by the works of the law. For the law came the knowledge of sin. Don’t steal, lie, bear false witness etc.
If I’m told not to do it, my failing flesh will say do it. The law brings out the worst in people. Not the best. The way God sees it as if you break one you’re guilty of them all. The Bible says all men have fallen short of the glory of God, somewhere we all sinned.
How do we get clean?
Come to Jesus Christ. Making Jesus the Lord of your life and asking him for forgiveness.
Most importantly believing that he exists first. Believe that God exists. That he is God and God’s one and only son.
Jesus said I am the vine you are the branches, those who abide in me will bear much fruit, for without me you can do nothing.
We can’t do anything without Jesus. We can’t “will” the right thing to do, “will” will fail because it relies on the strength of man. In the Bible it says man has no strength in his flesh because in the flesh dwells no good thing.
Not by power not by might but by his spirit saith the Lord.
How do we become righteous? Jesus. Faith in Jesus.
Second Corinthians 5:21
I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, our righteousness is justification by faith in Christ.
I am not righteous not because I said I’m sorry. I am righteous because I said I believe in him. Jesus.
Justification by faith. Not by works.
Faith is believing in the things that are not seen. For the things that I’ve seen are temporary and the things that are unseen are eternal.
Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.
Your whole life your whole existence should be Christ centered first and foremost. At the head of every man is Christ and at the head of Christ is God the father.
