I trust in christ alone for salvation. However I feel as though my will hasn't changed. I see in myself nothing good. I've heard that regeneration precedes faith is this true and if it is what in the world do I do? I hear his voice constantly in church but how do I know if he's not just calling me to be saved or teaching me? I know regeneration is a solo act of God so am I wrong in asking God for it? What do I do? I will continue to seek Yaweh!

All who are Justified by Christ's Blood, shall be given a New Birth !

How do I not know I'm not like Israel?

‘Go to this people and say,
“You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.â€
For this people’s heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.’

allthingsthroughhhim:

Romans 8 speaks of the Holy Spirit giving assurance to those who believe. Keep asking yourself what (and Whom, and Whose work) you are relying on, and keep getting your answers from God's Word.

Blessings.

PS: I was referring to verse 16 of Romans 8.

(John's First Epistle is all about assurance for the believer, too.)

Blessings.
