How to keep your salvation theology on the right track and out of the heretical ditch.
_________________________________________________________________________

First.
Here is how you can assess yourself to find out if you are missing the mark regarding the most basic understanding of the most principal thing regarding soteriology.

1. ) = Do you understand what separated you from God, His family, and eternal life in Heaven with them?

2. ) = Do you understand what God has completely and eternally removed from you so that you are allowed to have a restored relationship with God?

3.) = Do you understand what God gave you for FREE, so that you are equal to Him in this one particular that matters the most?

4. ) = Do you understand that all of this is provided for you through the Blood Atonement (Justification by Faith) (The Gift of Righteousness) and none of it can be gained by you or kept by you, ither before you are saved or after you are born again?

5. ) = Do you understand that if your sins are no longer being held against you, based on the fact that Jesus has DIED FOR THEM ALL, then this means all of them are gone.....and NOT just the ones you committed before you were saved.
Romans 4:8
So, therefore, if God is not holding or counting your sins against you, ever again, because JESUS has died for them ALL, then you are confused, you are in error - theologically = if you read 1 Jn 1:9 and think that you are to confess what Paul told you in Romans 4:5, that God no longer counts against you.
>Think<.

Once you come to this simple yet powerful revelation, you will have freed yourself from a theological trap regarding what you have been led to believe about "sin" "eternal life" and "confessing sin" after you are saved.
And you will be so happy once you see it.

Sparrow says this POST is, :bump worthy

What I know, by Faith, is still being contradicted daily by what I watch my hands do.
There is improvement though, says the murderer. Says the liar.

Remember when you were an infant and you were amazed by your hands?
Remember when you pondered your potential with such rapt amazement?
That was you, speaking to Him.
Your parents watched and saw that look on your face.
Loved you.

But today? Can you look at your hands and not see the blood?
Blinders cause blindness. Look again. Repent, sinner.
Call out for conviction. We need it!
There is time (for yet a little while)

Jesus is coming *again* and he's not coming for the sinners this time.
He's coming for the Sanctified.

Look to him, and no longer wonder about your works.
You know what James said. That word is IN YOU. Jesus is the Word.
Abide in Him, I say. Live with Him. You are the Joy for which He endured the cross, despising the shame.
You. Yes, you!
Sure, there will be there treasures and even a crown and, Yes(!) you will cast your crown at His feet, but still, sometimes we get confused.
