(please move it this is in the wrong place)
As a computer nut, I have recently been very interested in starting my own forum site, with a similiar theme to this one. The primary reason is to try and get my non-christian and christian friends to interact, as at the moment I feel like I'm the middle man, with not much christian knowledge under my belt. My plan was to draw in friends, family to the board, so they could hear opinions from other christians and maybe engage in some healthy debate. generating hits from my friends shouldnt be too difficult as my photoshop site is fairly swish (in my opionion..... ) and contains alot of non religious general content.
I have downloaded and had a play with phpbb. Will the idea I have generate enough traffic to warrent a forum board such as phpbb? Might there be any successful forum admins/users that could advise me on how to get an established forum up and running? Hopefully someone can give me some tips in terms of advertising, although I'm pretty out of pocket being a student.
