It seems to me that there are very few people who actually want to learn anything.
 
It seems to me that there are very few people who actually want to learn anything.
For at least two possible reasons:

1) it's work. It takes mental discipline to learn something.

2) they're afraid of what it may expose in their life that they don't have the energy or the will to change.


The people I prefer to fellowship with long for the things of God and search diligently for those things. I'm really put off by people who don't pursue their relationship with God beyond simply showing up for a worship service.
 
It's a bit of a broad statement. What do you mean by "learn"? Academically? A new skill? A new hobby?
I guess we in the church automatically understand his question in regard to growing in the knowledge of the things of God. Because that's what we are (supposed to be) all about--growing up into the stature of Christ.
