Lemony Snickets: A Series of Unfortunate Events

I liked this movie. I wanted to watch it because it looked similar to the style of movies Tim Burton makes. The acting was very good by the kids and Jim Carey. I've never read or heard of the books, but I'll give 2 thumbs up for the movie.

According to my kids, the movie does a good job portraying the books, but not in the same order of events. This didn't seem to bother them though. I personally like the little elf at the beginning of the movie.

I liked the movie, but the kids did point out the movie was out of order. They enjoyed watching it, but not enough to want to watch it again.

My daughter had been reading the books all year in school. When she found out the movie was coming out she was thrilled. I must say I wasn't excited about going. Not really my style of movie. She really enjoyed it, and wants to buy the DVD. The movie was so much better than the other one she drug me to, "Spongebob Squarepants." Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhgggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. :o

One of the worst movies I've ever seen. Just goes to show you that an all star cast can't help a terrible story line.
