God promised that He would provide His own sacrifice for Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son, which ever you believe.
And that was His own Son who we know from history died on the cross for all men, so that we could come together as one in Christ being reunited to the God of the universe whom created us all for Himself. And begin to walk together IN peace as we learn how to walk in His Word whom is The Christ of God and be saved from destruction due to wickedness that has entered us all through the fall of Adam.

Christian's, Jews and Muslim's do, and it only clouds the fact, and my point , that Jesus is the one whom we must know Was God's sacrificed Son who He meant and whom God was pointing too when He told Abraham I will provide the sacrifice.
No other man on this planet has fulfilled scripture, died and rose again as Jesus did. So it is no other but Jesus the Son of God who is the one we all should put our hope in no matter whom we believe was Abraham's sacrificed son. Jesus was the Lamb of God who God said was the Messiah whom would save us from our sins(take them away so that we don't do them anymore) to follow and not only for certain people, but All the world!.

Well the bible says Issac, so if it was not Issac that means the bible has mistakes and it means it does not have full credibility. Getting a name wrong is a big call. Its not like its just a basic language translation error like there are. No problem there. But It would be classed as a corruption and who then is to say there is no more.

Being scriptural accurate only clouds the fact and her point.We certainly don't want scriptures to get in the way of understanding.

While Isaac was not sacrificed physically, he was a type of the Future One, and a test in which Abraham expected him to be resurrected. Ishmael never had such a role to play. The divine focus was on Isaac, and in Isaac shall Abraham's seed be called. Isaac was the start of the birthright, i.e. the first generation after Abraham to get everything God promised geneaologically, both physical promises of a nation, many nations, and Kings well blessed as well as a spiritual seed with the coming Messiah. And even with the physical promises only, these same people will be called again later to partake in the spiritual, in which the physical is a forerunner and type of the Coming Kingdom. Ishmael was not promised such a thing, but did get some, but not the birthright inheritance. He's out of the picture in that sense.

If people are debating which one was sacrificed, I think they are missing the whole point of the bible story regarding what the story is pointing to.
