Jn 6:

33For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

The Lord Jesus Christ redeeming death, not only cleansed His people from their sins, but it gives them life, and that more abundantly. From the death of Christ comes life, Jesus says in Jn 12:

24Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

There should be no doubt that Jesus is referencing Himself as the corn of wheat to fall into the ground [ signifying His death he was about to die vs 33]

And He says as a result of that death, it bringeth forth not just fruit but much fruit..

Now the word fruit in the greek is karpos and means:

) fruit

a) the fruit of the trees, vines, of the fields

b) the fruit of one's loins, i.e. his progeny, his posterity

2) that which originates or comes from something, an effect, result

First we see that fruit means posterity, a progeny which is of course life.. Remember in ps what is it that children are called ? ps 127:

3Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Here the Holy Spirit calls children the fruit of the womb, the word for fruit here is the hebrew word p?riy:

fruit

a) fruit, produce (of the ground)

b) fruit, offspring, children, progeny (of the womb)

So we see clearly Here that Jesus is saying if He dies, that as a result of it as an effect of it, I shall bring forth fruit or children, or an offspring.. and its His reward from God the Father for His taking on the sins of the chosen..

I don't think it could be put any plainer, that the Lord Jesus Christ death, produces life, not offer life, not makes life available, but it actually effects life, it bringeth for fruit unto God.

The False teachers of the day, deny Christ His great accomplishments, which are, by His death He takes away the sins of the elect world [ Jn 1:29] and imparts life to the dead or bringeth forth fruit. The devils ministers teach that Jesus Christ death might give life, or that it merely makes life available, or that it might bring forth fruit, but that all hinges on the freewill of man, a dead man at that.. But this is the lie, and through His death and resurrection, Christ giveth life unto the world [ jn 6:33], and what world are we talking about ? This world:

Jn 1:

29The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

2 cor 5:

19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation

heb 2:

16For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

This is important, the world of the seed of Abraham.. The seed of Abraham that I am referring to is this one gen 17:

5Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

What is overlooked today, is that Abraham had a seed given to Him, not a natural seed[though the jews were just that, his natural seed], but a spiritual seed. He was made a Father [ A father has a seed or progeny] of many nations, and it is this many nations that constitute the world which Christ gives life to.. remember Gods promise to Abraham ? That in thee, all nations or families of the earth shall be blessed..

Gen 12:

1Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

That blessing is eternal life..its a spiritual blessing here in view.. So the world for whom Jesus Christ gives life to, are all the spiritual children of Abraham that cover the whole scope of the globe or the world.. or He giveth life to the world of His church. For He gave His life in order to produce His church eph 5:

25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26That [ for the purpose of] he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

Ladies and gentlemen, The death of Christ accomplished two very important things, it #1. Took away sin for the people of God, the chosen, the seed of Abraham, and #2. It imparted life, it brings forth fruit, it giveth life unto the world.. Those denying this today, are not of God, but is that spirit of Antichrist that ye heard that should come into the world, we are in the very last time..

As stated, He gave His life in order to produce His church eph 5:

25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Here two effects Paul gives us as a result of Christ giving himself for the church that He loved.. #1. That He might sanctify and cleanse it and #2. That He may present it to Himself a Glorious church..

And yes, He did accomplish this end..

Now let is look at the Two elements that proceeded from the Saviour's side after He was pierced by the roman soldier..jn 19:

34But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

What did these elements mean here at this momentous time in world history, they coming out of the Blessed and Unique Person, The Son of God.

First, the blood is for redemption, to deal effectively with the sins of His people 1 pet 1:

18Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Jn 1:

29The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

heb 9:

22And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Matt 26:

28For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

eph 1:

7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Redemption, blood and forgiveness are linked together, and all of this is indicated from the blood coming out of His side..

And that element took care of the sins and provided forgiveness, but , the elect were still dead to God by nature..

And so the second element, the water , indicates life, the life that would necessarily be imparted to all whom were the objects of the blood..

Water is used in scripture to indicate Life i.e

Jn 4:14

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Notice pointedly, Jesus says drink of the water I shall [ not offer] give him..Just like He says about His sheep, that He gives [ not offer] them life and that more abundantly..

Jn 10:10

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Again, water being related to Life rev 21:6

And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

Some may object, and say, but He said He would give unto him that is athirst ! True, but who are those who are athirst ? It is those who have been spiritually blessed to be thirsty..

Matt 5:6

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

rev 22:1

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

So the water from the pierced side of the redeemer represented the spiritual life that would be given [ imparted] to all those He shed His precious blood for..

For His death and resurrection effectually provided for the producing of spiritual life for His church..

Remember Jesus said that He was going to build His church, that meant, through His redeeming life giving death, He was going to produce living stones which He needed to build His church..peter says:

1 pet 2:

5Ye also, as lively [or living] stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

are built up in the greek is in the present tense and passive voice, they as living stones were being built up, Jesus gave them life and used them in the building of His House or Temple or Church..

So His death produces or brings into being those living stones as He imparts His life to them as The chief Living stone.. for in vs 4 He is liken unto a Living stone:

4To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

So He imparts His life unto His members, His body..for they were dead by nature..

This is the meaning of jn 12:

24Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

For bringing forth life out of death is how the Son of man is Glorified, notice in the same chapter 12 of John:

23And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

And of course, what that means is in the very next verse, bringing life out of death..

All of those who have been redeemed by His blood, their sins forgiven, will sooner or later have life eternal imparted unto them by the work of the Holy Ghost, who will also effect a saving work of His own to the redeemed, and that is their spiritual renewal [ their conversion] which is indicated in Titus 3:

5Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

6Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

That washing with the water of Life, the imparting of that water which came from the side of their Saviour and the new life it brings..

Those today who don't preach the blessed effects of the death of Christ, and how it brings life out of death, to all the seed, they are preaching a false gospel..a gospel that does not honor the work of Christ..
