'lil amy
'lil amy, she didn't have many friends
she always sat in a corner quiet and shy
she seemed nice enough and always lent her help
she was a soft-tempered child who always had a smile
always shared her crayons with the child who had none
never complained and always got her chores done
so why amy, why don't you have any friends?
why don't people accept you, you're not a phony
you stay true to yourself
people don't make fun of you, but they just seem to stare
like there's a glass barrier between you and them- and the world itself
there's an answer lil amy so don't fret,
the answer is simple yet complicated
what the children fail to see is Him in your heart
they don't understand how someone is so giving
they don't see the reasons for what you do
they can't see or comprehend the driving force deep inside you
they don't see the calling on your life
they haven't let the eyelid leave the eye
they also don't see that it will be God using you to deliver them from their faults
He will use her because of her selfless cause
you don't even see it yet amy, and sometimes you don't understand
you fell like you're in a box at a public display stand
to live a life for God and make Him first
despite what kids say stay true to God and self
don't let others shake you from your path
always listen to God, and your spirit will be kept
Sometimes you feel the coldness of the world
but you keep a fire in your heart,
God has great plans for you child, don't forget that
even when the trials of life come and go,
God will be there from child to adulthood
as you grow up amy different trials will come
and you may fall in a hole in the road-the road of life
but God will always be there to give you a hand,
His love and grace will be there in times of strife
and lil amy you will grow to be a woman
sharing your words of wisdom as a teacher
fertilizing young minds of the next generation,
letting them know of addition and subtraction,
with the same smile from all those years ago
you still teach even though you're older
and now a teacher and a grandmother
after years of work amy, now you can rest
a job well done, you've passed life's test
you did it amy, you taught them well
you kept living a life for God without fail
you may have stumbled, but God picked you up
and through your selflessness you helped reveal God's love
you lived a life that many can't comprehend, a life for God and everything He stands for
many people now understand now unlike before
a life, that now you're not seen in earth's realm, you're still a dove
-you
Hey everyone, I wrote this a few months ago, it's not complete, but I'd like to know what you think of it, good/bad, and if it helps at all. Also, any feedback on my other one is greatly appreciated. God bless and thank you ^_^
