Lists of Apostate Preachers

I still haven't got a reply as to why Hollywood loves CS Lewis rather than mocking him for his "Christian" works.

Yes. You have. Several times.

I don't think you're actually reading anyone's posts if they are not in agreement with you. Must be why you've missed it.

It occurs to me that the words "Apostate" and "Heretic" are thrown around quite freely, and without understanding as to WHAT the words really mean.

An Apostate is one who renounces the faith...period. One who leaves Christianity and embraces some other philosophy or religion.

A Heretic is one who denies or holds a position contrary to the foundational tenets of the Christian faith. One who denies the Virgin Birth, The physical resurrection of Christ, the Hypostatic Union, the efficacy of the cross, His physical return, etc.

By these definitions, Lewis was neither apostate, nor was he a heretic. I believe that he was in error about certain things...but not about (full circle) the Foundational Tenets of The Christian Faith.

Maybe before rushing to sit in the seat of "accuser of the brethren" and tossing out words such as "apostate" and "heretic"...one ought to investigate and see if those words really apply.

It's not just Stewart who has exposed CS Lewis, Dr Scott Johnson of http://www.contendingfortruth.com has exposed him too. And there are other sites too that say the same things about CS Lewis. To me i have never been interested in CS Lewis for some reason and i have no desire to read his works, i have heard enough about him already. I'm pretty selective as to who i listen to. I will let God judge CS Lewis as He would know secrets that we dont know yet. I can only post this thread as a kind of gentle warning, you may disagree with me.

Sorry, your statements have not passed Biblical scrutiny nor peer review. You false accusations have been rejected.

And where are the Christians in Hollywood?

What Christian movies have they made?

Do you really think that if CS Lewis was a great Christian man based on God's Word that Hollywood would consider using his Christian books?
They use CS Lewis's Occult Fantasies that are not Christian at all.
If you understand Hollywood you would realise how anti-Christian the whole thing is and you will be mystified.

And please dont bring up the Passion of the Christ movie because i know the behind the scenes story and it had to do with some strange womans dreams to have a movie, you could learn alot more by researching it on the Net.

From an interview with Walden Media co-founder Michael Flaherty:

Michael Flaherty is a devout Catholic homeschool dad of three. He created Walden Media as a movie, television, publishing and internet enterprise whose goal is to teach and entertain kids. Walden Media has created such films as Bridge to Terabithia, Charlotte’s Web, and all the Narnia movies. After screening his most recent release, Voyage of the Dawn Treader, I spoke to Mr. Flaherty about Narnia, his Catholic faith and other passions.

I read that you first discovered the Christian themes in the Narnia books while teaching a CCD class.

I had just moved to New York City after living in Boston my whole life and there’s a program there called “Narnia.†A couple of guys I worked with at National Review magazine introduced me to the program because I wanted to teach CCD. I asked the woman who was running it, “Why do you call it Narnia? I love those books!†I hadn’t picked them up in a long time, so she explained it all to me. From that, I was able to understand Mere Christianity and really start reading a lot more of Lewis. That was the brilliance of Lewis-- as a kid, I could just enjoy [his books] as great stories, and then when I grew up I could understand and appreciate them at a whole new level.

A media-mogul and Catholic conservative home-schooler who sees Christ's redemptive work portrayed in the Narnia series.

It's a pity you're so close-minded "Reader", you're actually missing out on some beautiful work. It must be very gray and dull in that landscape where you live. :shame

Are you suggesting that Catholics are not Christians? When did God grant YOU the ability to know what another's heart is?

So he is a Catholic??

That speaks volumes.

You know, I have a whole lot of insults I could throw your way right now, but none of them really conveys the depth of my disgust for the way you hate anyone who doesn't read your Bible or worship your way.

{20} If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. {21} And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also. 1 John 4:20-21 (NASB)

Take it for what it's worth.

So he is a Catholic??

That speaks volumes.

Oh yea?

1) My best friend here in Georgia is Catholic, I finally went to my first Catholic mass last month (with him). I know that the Catholics believe some things that I, as a Baptist, don't. (But then, most baptists beleive in a 10,000 year old earth - so I dont' even agree with THEM all the time).

But I DO know this, my friend prays and believes like few do. Every time he sees a crucifix (which is every day since he has one in his home, like all Catholics do) he does the little "hand cross thing". He says this is to remind him of what Jesus did on the cross for him.

There are some things Catholics do that we all can learn from.

2) Many years ago, it was 1980 actually, I worked for a Cable TV (Continental) company in Jackson, Michigan. THere was a convent there that old nuns lived out their lives at. I met my first nun there, she was about 80 and frail. As I installed her cable on her TV in her 600 square foot apartment, she started asking about my personal life. She was a dear person, and showed me her prayer beads. She spent a great deal of her life praying for others - and now, I and my family were on her list.

My view of Catholics is based mostly on the above two people, not on the pope or on those Catholics that harm the witness of the church.

Those two people spoke volumes.

For some one who spouts scripture as a know it all...Not one of the verses below is more or less scripture then the other.l

Mat 5:2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
Mat 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Mat 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Mat 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Mat 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Mat 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Mat 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Mat 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Mat 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Mat 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Mat 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Thanks Reba for the Bible Verses, i'm already familiar with Matthew 5.

My best friend here in Georgia is Catholic, I finally went to my first Catholic mass last month (with him). I know that the Catholics believe some things that I, as a Baptist, don't.

I think that is the worst decision that you have ever made in your life. I say this gently you should be careful who you hang around with. Do you listen to Jesus Christ or your friend? Who do you put first?

You know, I have a whole lot of insults I could throw your way right now, but none of them really conveys the depth of my disgust for the way you hate anyone who doesn't read your Bible or worship your way.

The thing is you cant read my heart. I do love catholic people and i have come across them but i hate there religion and i hope that they leave there religion behind and get into the King James Bible and understand who Jesus is and what God really says.

There are some things Catholics do that we all can learn from.

Really? name them.

My view of Catholics is based mostly on the above two people, not on the pope or on those Catholics that harm the witness of the church.

So you base your view about Catholicism on 2 people. You need a better understanding and knowledge to make a righteous judgment.

It is easy to read this:
False Religions EXPOSED!

"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them." (Romans 16:17)

"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction." (2 Peter 2:1)

These websites give a list of "preachers" that have been involved in "Apostasy".

Billy Graham and Hank Hannegraff are false teachers????

If you do some research into there lives you will be surprised like i was:

About Billy Graham:

http://pdf.cftresources.com/2007_07-22__Billy Graham, Homosexuals, Catholics & Apostasy.pdf

My God in Heaven, I looked at his master list, this guy hates everybody: Jerry Falwell, Billy Graham, Rick Warren, even Rupert Murdoch.

Let me begin by telling you that the nonsense he spouts on this website, like the stuff about the Trilateral comission and the the end times drivel, is mostly paranoia.

The end times stuff ("Left Behind") was made up by James Darby in the 1800's and popularized by Cyrus Schofield in the 1900's. It is not Biblical.

Also, I would like to point out that as an Anglican, the King James Bible is our Bible - we published it, and we are proud of it. Why it is that some people can claim that the Bible we gave to the world, a very Catholic Bible, is the true word of God, yet tell lies about the one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, (Mary worship, for example) is beyond my comprehension.

Finally, in Mark 9:40, we read, “Teacher,†said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.â€

“Do not stop him,†Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, for whoever is not against us is for us. Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward."

Billy Graham has brought the salvation message to millions. I used to live in his home town. He is not "apostate". Neither is Hank Hanegraff. I have read 2-3 of Hank's books, so I know something about him - I don't have to do any "research".

None of us, of course, are perfect, but I have learned in my lifetime to eat fish by eating only the meat and spitting out the bones. I find a lot of bones among this Scott Johnson chap's writings.

Those who put out these lists are fear mongers, and nothing more than gossipers, and deceivers in their own right, thinking they alone are judges of truth. People, trust the Holy Spirit to show you the truth!

Many names on those lists don't belong there! It's proof that even these people with the websites have an agenda of their own! What special calling do they have over any of you?

Think about it.

Brilliant statement Alabaster. When you think about it, the only claim to authority any of them have is the Bible, which is exactly what those they are censoring have.

I looked at his master list, this guy hates everybody: Jerry Falwell, Billy Graham, Rick Warren, even Rupert Murdoch.
Knowing Dr Scott Johnson from listening to his teachings i would say that he does not hate these characters but loves to expose them. He is a watchman who needs to warn Christians against false teaching and false teachers.

Ezekiel 33:
6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.

Romans 16:
17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Rupert Murdoch is a Roman Catholic, see this:

jesus-is-savior.com/Bible/rupert_murdoch_niv_evil.htm

Billy Graham is a freemason and catholic all one has to do is read up on him:

jesus-is-savior.com/Wolves/billy_graham-apostasy.htm

Rick Warren has said many anti-Christian things:
