Are we by default living in a secular world?

We are told we are not of this world.
 
We are still living in the kingdom of darkness, tho we've been translated (born again) into the Kingdom of Jesus (Light).

Colossians 1:13

"God has rescued us from the (domain-power) of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son"

and now we are supposed to do this...

Acts 26:18
"To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me."
