I remember the feelings. I Remember crying at night. I remember the pleading with God for a person to share my life with. I know this is a common idea, but it really seemed to change once I made a personal choice to stop looking for a companion and let God bring them to me. Literally 3 weeks later I was in a serious relationship with Caroline. I would just encourage you to give up that dream to God and let him do the work, if you haven't already.

It's completely understandable. I've been a single parent for so many years, and it's hard. My kids tell me often how they want a dad (he passed away, and they never got to know him) and I admit there are many times when I could use the help! :help

I have cried out to God as well, because sometimes it is just so hard trying to do everything, and bear all the responsibilities in my small, but blessfully sweet household. I don't know what God has in store for me or what He may have in store for you, but.....

All I can do is wait on the Lord, and that's all you can do too. Just as Bones said, and I've heard the same thing from so many ex-singles. God seems to bring someone when you stop looking, and let Him bring you together with whomever he chooses. Put Him first and commit to serving Him. Being faithful to God's plan for your life will never steer you wrong.

I feel lonely too I also need prayer but I try to see the positive, If i were to meet my wife a minute too soon I would ruin it. If God takes out the time to unite birds how much more doesnt he think of us, if he started this he will finish it. Use your free time now that you have it to live out your dreams later on when you meet your partner you wont have so much free time.

I'm struggling with this atm as well. It's really hard...feeling a bit lonely and wanting a partner to share my life with and to glorify the Lord with. I think I might have found someone that I could share the rest of my life with, and I really love her. But where to take it from here? The thing is asking...the fear of rejection. I know she doesn't dislike me, but does she feel about me what I feel about her? I'm sure this is a common dihlema.

Beautifully said!!! I also have those feelings sometimes but God quickly reminds me to wait patiently and faithfully....
