94) God and Samuel / Samuel and God

- David and Jonathan, Saul’s son, develop a strong relationship!

- They make a covenant between each other!

- David stays at Saul’s service!

- Saul puts him in charge of his fighting men!

- David is more celebrated than Saul!

- So Saul becomes jealous of David!

- And he becomes suspicious of David!

- On two occasions Saul tries to kill David with a spear but David escapes!

- And he is afraid of David because he is successful!

- He wants David to be killed by the Philistines!

- So Saul proposes to one of his daughters to marry him!

- But he must give Saul 100 foreskins of the Philistines!

- So David and his men kill 200 Philistines and brings their foreskins to Saul!

- Thus Saul gives his daughter Michal as a wife to David!

- Saul realizes that David is with David so he becomes more afraid of him and he becomes his enemy for the rest of his life!

- As we can see, Samuel was completely right, Saul is a human king and he acts according to his will!

- And he wants to get rid of David and he is ready to do anything!

- It has nothing to do with God’s will!

- And God won’t let him succeed!

95) God and Samuel / Samuel and God

- Saul wants to kill David!

- Jonathan warns David!

- And Jonathan speaks well of David to Saul so he renounces to kill David for the moment!

- Later Saul tries to kill David another time!

- But he escapes!

- So Saul sends messengers to kill him!

- But Michal tells him to escape otherwise he will be killed!

- So David escapes once again!

- And he goes to Samuel and tells him everything Saul did to him!

- They both go away!

- So Saul sends messengers to kill David!

- But every time, the messengers behave like prophets!

- So Saul decides to go there personally!

- And he too behaves like a prophet!

- So every time Saul tries to kill David, God prevents him to do it!

- And where does David go? To Samuel!

96) God and Samuel / Samuel and God

- Then David goes to Jonathan!

- And Jonathan tells him he will be able to warn him if his father tries to do something against him!

- But David thinks that Saul won’t say anything to Jonathan!

- So David tells him what to do!

- And David waits for Jonathan’s answer!

- And Jonathan tells David to flee!

- Samuel was always there as judge till Saul became king of Israel!

- As Samuel had said, things started to go wrong and Saul was rejected by God!

- And God chose David as the new king!

- And Saul knew that God was with David!

- So he spent his time trying to kill him!

- But he never succeeded!

97) God and Samuel / Samuel and God

- Then David goes to Ahimelech the priest and he tells him that Saul gave him a mission!

- So he asks the priest if he can give him some bread!

- So Ahimelech tells him there is only holy bread!

- And he gives them to David!

- And he also gives him Goliath’s sword at David’s request!

- Then David goes to the land of the Philistines acting as if he was insane!

- Thus God keeps protecting David even if Samuel is not there!

- But Saul can’t be compared to Samuel!

- Saul acts against God as Samuel had told the Israelites about the future kings!

1) Samuel - comparing faithfulness to Yah.weh

- When the story of Samuel starts in the book of Samuel, Samuel doesn’t exist yet!
- We are told about his family!
- We are told about his father Elkanah and his two wives: Hanʹnah and Pe·ninʹnah!
- Pe·ninʹnah has children but Hanʹnah is childless!
- They are rival wives!
- Elkanah loves Hanʹnah but Pe·ninʹna has children!
- And they always fight!
- And as usual, Elkanah doesn’t understand anything!
- He is a stranger in his own house!
- But Yah.weh has always taught men about that but they never listen!

That is not the gentle meekness of Jesus Christ, which causes men to be enabled to listen.

2 Timothy 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

James 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Using an approach to compare Elkanah to not understanding God, and saying this is how men never listen, is opposing to Jesus Christ, who shows men how to hear God.

That all things are delivered to the Son Jesus Christ, and the Son calls us to come unto Him, for the rest He gives the heavy burdened, ( who never could hear before Jesus Christ.) to take the yoke of Christ upon them, to learn of HIM, FOR HE IS MEEK AND LOWLY IN HEART. ( where all understand and all find rest to their souls.)

Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The story of Samuel is about Samuel, the same way as the story of Abraham is about Abraham, not about their fathers who they were separated from.

Samuel was entirely for God, Abraham was called alone for God, Abraham offers his only son for the Lord as a sacrifice to be given as a figure of Christ, and Samuel is offered alone to the Lord. ( Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of the Father.)

All scripture is of Christ, and the way to God is told by Jesus Christ, to say people never listen is OK for the ones who still do not hear Christ, and true for the ones who do not speak of how Christ has called us to hear God.

2) Samuel - comparing faithfulness to Yah.weh

- Hanʹnah gives Samuel to serve in Yah.weh’s house and Yah.weh will give her more children!
-Thus Samuel won’t live long with his own family!
- He goes directly to Yah.weh’s house to serve Yah.weh!
- He is the only one we are told about as a child!
- And that’s a big difference!
- Here we can see the importance to develop a strong relationship to Yah.weh!
- Samuel is the best example of that!
- There is no time to lose!
- But being in Yah.weh’s house wasn’t secure at all!
- Yah.weh had left Israel!
- Eli’s two sons were very bad examples of what not to do!
- Samuel could have followed them!
- But Yah.weh was there to protect and teach and speak to him!
- Thus Samuel’s situation or context was not better!

Nothing is developed by Samuel, all in Adam die, all in Christ are made alive.

From Adam to Moses death reigns on all.

death reigns on all, including Samuel, David everybody, it is taken away by one mans example and faithfulness, to teach otherwise is antichrist.

Jesus Christ is the second man, special, the first man is your example of nothing special.

Romans 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

Romans 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

1 Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

1 Corinthians 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

1 Corinthians 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Hebrews 7:26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Why will it take until judgement day for the moderators to be judged for allowing blasphemy on these forums. ( even though it is all made so clear for them they can allow such evil surmisings although it was predicted to be done?)

Mark 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

98) God and Samuel / Samuel and God

chap 22

- Saul now said: “Listen, please, you son of A·hiʹtub!” to which he replied: “Here I am, my lord.” Saul said to him: “Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, by giving him bread and a sword and by making an inquiry of God for him? He opposes me and waits in ambush, as is now the case.” At this Ahimelech answered the king: “Who among all your servants is as trustworthy as David? He is the king’s son-in-law and a chief over your bodyguard and honored in your house. Was today the first time I inquired of God for him? What you are saying is unthinkable on my part! Do not let the king hold anything against his servant and against my father’s entire house, for your servant did not know a single thing about any of this.”

- Ahimelech tells Saul about everything but Saul doesn’t want to listen!

- We can see how Saul progressively goes away from God and from doing what is right!

- He is the king so he thinks nobody can oppose his will!

- Now he speaks against God’s priests!

- Once again Samuel’s words were too true!

- Saul lives in his own world away from reality!

- And it happens the same way with other kings when they don’t want to listen to anybody!

- You don’t care about your mistakes!

- You don’t learn from them!

- You make more mistakes and you go to a dead end!

99) God and Samuel / Samuel and God

chap 22

- But the king said: “You will surely die, Ahimelech, you along with all your father’s house.” With that the king said to the guards stationed around him: “Turn and kill the priests of Yah.weh, because they have sided with David! They knew that he was a runaway, and they did not inform me!” But the king’s servants did not want to lift their hands to assault the priests of Yah.weh.

- Saul is completely blind!

- He doesn’t care about God anymore!

- He fights against him!

- He wants to kill Yah.weh’s priests!

- But his servants are not crazy like him, they refuse to kill them!

- He acts like a stupid child!

- He doesn’t think about the high price he will have to pay!

- That is he and all his house are going to receive the same treatment that is death and not a peaceful one!

100) God and Samuel / Samuel and God

chap 22

- Then the king said to Doeg: “You turn and assault the priests!” Immediately Doeg the Edomite went and assaulted the priests himself. He killed on that day 85 men wearing the linen ephod. He also struck Nob, the city of the priests, with the sword; man as well as woman, child as well as infant, bull, donkey, and sheep, he put to the sword. However, one son of Ahimelech, the son of Ahitub, whose name was Abiathar, escaped and ran away to follow David. Abiathar told David: “Saul has killed the priests of God.” At this David said to Abiathar: “I knew on that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would be sure to tell Saul. I am personally responsible for the death of everyone in your father’s house. Stay with me. Do not be afraid, for whoever seeks your life seeks my life; you are under my protection.”

- Thus 85 men are killed but also the women and the children!

- What an abomination!

- But God is patient!

- And he will strike Saul and all his house in due time!

- It was so different each time the Israelites opposed God!

- Then he wanted to destroy them completely and without waiting!

- Only Moses could prevent him from doing it!

- Let’s remember all these facts!

- And keep them in our mind!

- There is always a price to pay!

101) God and Samuel / Samuel and God

chap 23

- According to God, David fights against the philistines who went against the city of Keilah!

- He does everything according to God’s will!

- And Saul goes after David!

- But David leaves Keilah!

- David and Jonathan make a covenant!

- Saul is about to capture David!

- But he has to leave him alone to go after the Philistines!

- Thus David listens to God and God helps him!

- But he will become king!

- And things will change as usual and as Samuel said!

102) God and Samuel / Samuel and God

chap 24

- Saul goes to look for David!

- And David has the possibility to kill Saul!

- But he doesn’t do it because he is the anointed of God!

- When Saul realizes that David could have killed him, he goes back home!

- Thus David keeps being faithful to God!

- But things will change when he becomes king!

- It is as Samuel told the Israelites but they didn’t listen to him!

- And they paid the price!

The way to Christ is to not hear all the thieves and robbers before Him, and then to not hear all the false teachers who rise after also.

John 10:8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

2 Peter 2:1-2 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

4) Samuel - comparing faithfulness to Yah.weh

- Samuel is younger than Daniel!
- But like Job and Daniel, he doesn’t need refinement!
- Yah.weh will give him the road map directly!
- And Samuel will always follow it!
- He will know what to do in any situation!
- Every time, it will be as clear as crystal!
- He will be raised in Yah.weh’s house!
- He will be raised among Eli’s sons’ corruption!
- But he will keep being faithful!
- Here we get three incredible examples of faithfulness!
- Why Israel?
- Why Mankind?
- It is much more than just free will!
- It means getting the right road map and sticking to it day and night!
- And staying away from man’s tradition!

103) God and Samuel / Samuel and God

chap 25

- Nabal is a rich man!

- David sends some of his men to Nabal to ask for some food because he protected Nabal’s men!

- But Nabal doesn’t care!

- So David wants to kill him!

- But Abigail, Nabal’s wife, hearing about it, decides to take food for David and his men!

- And because of Abigail’s attitude he decides not to kill Nabal!

- But God strikes him and he dies!

- And David decides to take Abigail as his wife!

- Once again David shows himself as a man of God!

- But he is not yet king!

104) God and Samuel / Samuel and God

chap 26

- Once again Saul goes after David!

- Once again David has the possibility to kill Saul but he doesn’t do it!

- When Saul hears about it, he returns to his place!

- So once again David shows himself as a man of God!

- But he is not yet king!
