First, I want to make clear that I am not talking about personal salvation. I am not asking if it is possible for God to remove salvation from someone. Instead, I’m asking if its possible for one group of people to cease to be God’s church? Revelation 2:1-7 NKJV

What does removing the lampstand mean?

It is ironic that you should post this question, because it has been on my mind for the last week or so. For all of the issues that the Churches in the book of Revelation had against them, the candlestick was still present with them. What does the church look like when the candlestick is removed? And, when the candlestick is removed, is that likened to when the doors are shut in the parable of the ten virgins?

When a Christians love for Jesus has grown cold or lukewarm He says you have left your first love. Our Lord Jesus Christ takes this issue so seriously that unless we put our love for Him in first place where it belongs, nothing else we do for Him really matters. Cheap worship is the number one reason. God warned Cain in Genesis that If you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at the door ready to take you over! This is why a argument turns to a divorce, now a little problem becomes an addiction, why depression leads to suicide, and anger becomes murder. Because sin is now jumping all over you all because of your cheap worship. God demands to be first with your time, talent, and treasure. The only way to fix it He tells us is: Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works. (Remember - Repent - Return)

This has been on my mind too for about a week!

I think it's happening all around us, as churches embrace homosexual marriage. We are solemnly awaiting the seating of the Antichrist.

We are before the Judgment seat of Christ as He walks among “the seven candlesticks which are the seven churches.” Rev 1:20

Rev 2:1 . . These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks.

What is Jesus doing? Read His judgment of the seven church assemblies where he tells five of them to repent, and only commends two of them; Smyrna (Rev 2:10) & Philadelphia (Rev 3:10).

Rev 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else Iwill come unto thee quickly, and (Jesus) will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. This church had begun great, and putting Christ first was no longer part of their spiritual walk. (Rev 2:4).

When we see Jesus our reward will be with Him (Rev 22:12); His judgment was sure according to our walk in this present life, and it is presented in Revelation Chapters Two & Three.

Now just what is being removed from its place, and I’ll use the example of Israel, because we read in 1 Cor 10:11, Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

(Exodus 28:9-10) To start with the 12 tribes worn on the Ephods of Aaron’s shoulders were placed in order of birth. Rueben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulon, Joseph, & Benjamin.

(Exodus 28:29) On the Breastplate of Judgment they are changed in order which are 10 full tribes and two half tribes; Joseph died and the tribe of Levi were priests and led the march by 2000 cubits and were not numbered with tribes of Israel (Num 2:33). Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Rueben, Simeon, Gad, Ephrain, Manasseh, Benjamin, Dan, Asher, & Naphtali.

All this has to do with reward; not our security in Christ.

Thank you Brother Eugene,

As we countdown to the Millennium there is a Huge Difference Between Entering & Inheriting the Kingdom for Christians. It’s the prize for being an overcomer and for making choices to live Christ’s Life.

Six heavenly crowns mentioned in the New Testament; The Crown of Inheritance (Colossians 3:24), The Imperishable Crown – (1 Corinthians 9:24-25), The Crown of Rejoicing – (1 Thessalonians 2:19), (Revelation 21:4)., The Crown of Righteousness – (2 Timothy 4:8), The Crown of Glory – (1 Peter 5:4), and The Crown of Life – (Revelation 2:10), (James 1:12)

Here are a few New Testament Scriptures that speak of some of the requirements for this inheritance: Matthew 24:43 and 47 say, “...if we are faithful, [then] He will make us ruler over all his goods;” 2 Timothy 2:12 says, “...if we suffer, [then] we shall reign with Him;” and James 2:5 says, “...if we love Him, we will be heirs of His kingdom.” (See also Hebrews 10:35)

Good morning. To me, what you have quoted is what I define as the difference in our spiritual walk, and its rewards.

Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and JOINT-HEIRS with Christ; IF SO BE that we suffer (endure) with him, that we may be also glorified together.
2 Tim 2:12 IF WE SUFFER (endure), we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us.

Deny us what? The right of reigning as a joint heir.
To me this is akin to the promise given Smyrna in Rev 2:10.
Rev 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
Thanks for your reply. :wave2
