Make a list of scriptures to memorize and add to it more and more. We need to hide God's word in our hearts by meditating on it day and night. This is what makes us born again. Jesus Christ told the unbelieving Jews in John chapter 5 that they didn't receive Him because they didn't have God's word abiding in their hearts. There's a lot of Christians like that today to, who are going to church, paying tithes, etc. but aren't into the word of God. The Apostle Paul told us to examine ourselves whether we are in the faith. Don't just assume that Jesus Christ is still in us. If we're living a lukewarm life Jesus has left the building, but He is still knocking at the door if we will repent and open it up again.
It's a time to keep under the blood, to keep cleansed. Pray Psalm 51 every day. We need to be in peace with all men. Don't hate the Arabs, the Moslems, Ahmadinejad, the terrorists. Jesus Christ said we are to love all men, even our enemies. Forgive any one we have ought against daily. "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14. Turn off the Fox News, the political commentaries, the "Christian" radio, and feed on the word of God. Ask Jesus to baptize and fill you with the Holy Ghost and power and groan and travail in the Holy Ghost every day. This will clothe us upon from above. See 2 Corinthians 5:1,2. 2 Peter chapter 3 tells us to be hasting the second coming, not trying to delay it. Let's pray for Jesus to come back before 2012. Pray for God to break up the fallow ground of our hearts (Hosea 10:12), to send forth labourers into His harvest (Luke 10:2), and to send rain in the time of latter rain (Zechariah 10:1). When the harvest is ready it won't be long before Jesus comes back to take us home.
