Bible Study Luke 1:56-58

Luke 1:56-58
KJV(i) 56 And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house. 57 Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son. 58 And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.

The Birth and Naming of John
57 Now the time had come for Elizabeth to give birth, and she had a son. 58 Then her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown her His great mercy, and they rejoiced with her.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
56 She stayed for three months, it was not as common in those days to visit people so when you did you spent a time with them because mostly likely you would only see them a handful of times in life and maybe none after being married and having children.
57 This would been after Mary left, Mary may have leave to leave before Elizabeth bore John because of her time to give birth was soon. We should make time for family.
58 Many times birth was not likely for someone this old and they would have waited to see if they baby was born before they celebrated, they knew this was allowed by God. We need to be willing to give praise to God because of what He does for others but when first need to praise Him for what He does for us.

What you have said is all true. I like your last line about praising God for what He does for others and us. I especially like to praise God for who He is! I praise His Being. How wonderful that the only Almighty God in the heavens is a good God! Wow! I love Him because of Who He is.
