These are my thoughts, please share yours.

12 We should not test the Lord but should all we can to pass the test He may give us and keep pleasing Him. We often times want God to show us or prove to us and He does not have to we should have faith by what He has already done.

13 The devil never fully leaves us alone but will leave us for a time when his temptations on us are not working and then he comes back when we are again weak.

God does not tempt anyone with evil. He is not sending the devil to come get us. Jesus is the Son of God, and went through things so we don't have to go through them. Jesus had to pass test.

We are told if it's like a trial, a sickness, or bad situation, if we resist, stand in faith, the devil will have to let go. The devils out there are always constant and planing.

passing trials Puts pressure on our patience, it tries is. With that, experience comes, and with that, Hope. I hate to say we need trails from the devil, but it's more like how an immune system works. The devil puts us through a bunch of junk, we believe God, and get free. Next time the devil comes we already have experience that God was faithful the other time, and thus Hope.

David who had to kill a lion and bear, thought back to that when Goliath came. To David, if God handed him a lion and bear, then some guy with no covenant with God is a piece of cake.

blessings.

My thoughts are nearly the same, Clark.
:)

There is often a temptation to "take the easy way", and do something evil so that Good (or perceived good...) might come of it. The Devil merely wants us to do evil, though, so that God will not protect us as much. It gives him a better chance to accuse us, and destroy us before God. Jesus, however, never took the "shortcut", and as long as we are in him, he can do the good works in us thwarting the devil at every step.
