Bible Study Luke 4:35

Luke 4:35 King James Version (KJV)
35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.

Luke 4:35 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

35 But Jesus rebuked him and said, “Be quiet and come out of him!”
And throwing him down before them, the demon came out of him without hurting him at all.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

The Lord told the evil spirit to be quiet, it had no choose because God had ordered it, Jesus could over power demons not because He was of the demons as the Pharisees thought but it was because He was more powerful than the demons being God. The man was not hurt even after being thrown down, this would have been a site of amazement, looking down at the man and wondering will the demon in him be mad because of being thrown down, people may stood there ready to leave but also wanted to see what happened, and then the man gets up just fine and demon free, Jesus also can take away anything that burdens us if we go to Him with it.

I don't get the point your making.

As with any passage of scripture we must learn to find, no less than one of the suitable Life Applications hurried in the passage. The first one I always see where is there is nothing we need fear when we surrender everything to the control of God.

When God calls you He appoints you. And when He appoints you He anoints you. And when He anoints you and you are divinely positioned nothing can stop you. Anointing breaks yokes and anointing lifts burdens. Anointing creates excess to GLORY. When a person is anointed - the greater the anointing the greater the move of God in a place. A anointed person opens the heavens and the GLORY of the LORD comes and meets needs in a place. Talent and flesh is not a anointing. It's tinkling cymbal and sounding brass. Sisters and brothers when someone gets up who is anointed you feel the heavens shifting and God comes so low to meet that need. Anointing is empowerment to deal with DEMONIC stuff. Adam didn't need anointing, we need it. That's why when Jesus came He said "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me - He has anointed me." That ANOINTING open the heavens, healed the sick, open blind eyes, raised the dead, cast out demons, cleanse the lepers, multiplied bread, filled boats with fish and Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. This why Jesus said, "apart from me you can do nothing." It was His anointing that open the heavens.
