This is a pretty good sermon (homily) by Bishop Barron. He doesn't always give good ones.
He thinks we should aim for sainthood every day. I'm not sure what I think about that to be honest.
"To be a saint is to always will the good of another".
Anyway....

Here is the meaning of "hesed".

Chesed (Hebrew: חֶסֶד‎, also Romanized ḥesed) is a Hebrew word. In its positive sense, the word is used of kindness or love between people, of the devotional piety of people towards God as well as of love or mercy of God towards humanity. ... Chesed is also one of the ten Sephirot on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life.

"we should hunger and thirst for righteousness"........(the will of God)

This is all easier said than done of course .

"we need to walk the path of holiness" adds Bishop Barron.

"because often doing the will of God means you are not going to be liked"

Then there are those of us who don't do the will of God and are unpopular anyway. ?
Generally speaking though, I think if you really follow the will of God, you will love others. So that is bound to make you popular sooner or later anyway.

Perhaps only with those who love God or who ate seeking Him.
That's ok, because as the title of the video life isn't about ourselves. Love that title, it's a great reminder and probably one that I needed.

I think atheists are looking for love. Even they act like they aren't. If they feel love from us and we are open minded ,it might impress them at least.

I agree. It is like they are searching bit do not realise God has that love they are wanting.
I wouldn't rule anyone out.
Also agree it is our duty to show them that love. They will decide if they don"t want to know any more. That is their right to choose.
That is when they decide whether they like us or not. Jesus said it is not us they don't like it is Him. How tragic is that.

They will know we are Christians by our love...
Not. They will know we are Christians by our scripture knowledge.
