Hello Guys, I would like to ask this question that's kinda bothering me, Is it futile to make the world a better place? especially when you know that it is already doomed anyway?
Like applying Christian Ideals and Socialism to affect governmental and sociatal policies and change it? Thanks to anyone who can enlighten me, God bless.

This earth is not doomed. There are over 2 billion people who claim some form of Christianity on this earth, but they are all divided between different doctrines to say the least; so there is no united front to make any serious change to these governments or mega-corporations.
Plus, to be a Follower of Christ's Teachings; we must never kill to make changes; while those with evil in their hearts will kill without hesitation to keep things as they are.
You must simply hold Faith and Hope; the Bible does indicate a solution is coming, and I have reason to believe it is not far off. We must simply endure for now.

We're supposed to do good. How we do that is up for debate, but we can't be apathetic just because this world is doomed.

The earth is not doomed, the story has a good ending.Dont pay any attention to the news,TURN IT ALL OFF!!!!!!!.The news is only there for people playing the markets and monitoring trends for profit. It says in scripture,If you are right with the Lord, eat, drink and be merry, there are alot of things going on that you,me or anybody else cant do anything about, except pray. The next you here about something bad happening,go to your front door, open it,look outside, does everything look allright?.Now if you live in an apartment you will just see a wall,Ha,Ha.

You make a good point, this "worldly news" is awful; with so many things we cannot change. But even if you look out your door, and things don't look alright; if you put your trust in God, He does know what He is doing. Allowing these evil men to finish what they have started is just a part of it; but the Story of Man will have a good ending for those who will endure.

I meant mankind can't save itself. Most people on here are Christians, and we get that the story ends well for believers.

Our job is not to make a utopia. Nimrod tried that with the babel project. There have been numerous attempts to build a utopia, most noticeably the communism revolutions, all ended up in dystopia, because all were essentially repeating the Babel history. Our job is to tend God's flock and feed God's lamb, is to make disciples in all nations and to discern the signs of times. Any material wealth is not the end goal, but a means to an end.
