our valley is full of smoke... this means the fires of northern CA are really burning... many have lost all they have as of yet no lives lost... Firefighters , National Guard, health care people , cops , homeowners need prayer for wisdom, strength, endurance Throughout the day i have been asking God for rain.. ..

About 80,000 acres now for the ones closest ... Most of the land is not inhabited. Not by people anyway, the critters are God's

There are 6 more burning....
 
WOW thanks it just started a light rain here... We are about 80 miles as the crow flies from the fires ... This will clear our air but the fires need the rain

Burney the town about 4 miles from the fire is most often 100 + degrees this time of year and the humidity in the teens..

Today 05 Aug 4:13 pm PDT it is 66 degrees and 80% humidity :sohappy our God cares for some hick sawmill town ... What a Mighty God we serve...

Fire activity is minimal due to precipitation. The fire behavior could increase due to possible thunderstorms. Firefighters continue to make great progress on strengthening control lines and mopping up hot spots around the fire perimeter. The fire suppression repair and rehabilitation phase has begun.

Sister reba, this brings to mind the story of Abraham bargaining with God over Sodom. It might be those sawmill towns have a few righteous among them. Notice the three men appearing to Abraham was addressed as Lord; it seems you were addressing the same power in your prayers for safety in the midst of the fire. :)

And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.
