Bible Study Mark 9:24 What separates believers from unbelievers?

"And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief." KJV


Was this man simultaeously both a believer and an unbeliever? How should we understand his statements?

Usually we have to be convinced of something to believe in it and this man is like most , he is convinced to the point that something has happened that explains God and what He can do for us but is not so entirely convinced that there is no doubt left. I may not understand ur question. R u just asking about believing, Lucifer and the angels believe and tremble. If ur question is about true christians verses christians that think they have God but do not really have God. The answer is what Jesus said of the church (matthew 7:22 & 23) the many, and it is no great deduction if Jesus said the many then the few is left. The church, the few and the many, it is why the church seems to be full of hypocrites, because it is.
