This is some very interesting stuff in this article, I now have a full understanding of a Biblical marriage. I have been saved since 1991 and I never fully studied the Biblical perspective of marriage, I mean I have read stuff on it, but never took a real hard look until now.

There is a "STICKY" at the top of the Focus on Scripture forum.
It contains links to a book, "Manner and Customs of Bible Lands" by Fred H. Wight
In one chapter Fred details Marriage Customs which you may also find interesting.

In point of fact, that whole book is fairly short and serves to show and illustrate the many cultural difference b/w the people of the Bible and us.

PS Thanks for the link above! I'm certain that I'll find it very interesting. Especially because I believe that each of us are being invited to a wedding even now. The description that our Father gives about how He sends His servants (even to the gutter) to compel guests describes my circumstance very well. It's just a matter of putting on the provided white robe of righteousness, right?
