This was one of the horses at the ranch named Doc. He's a really sweet horse and he definitely loved eating up those apples!

Here's a picture of one of the barn cats. (Callie) She's so cute!! (oh and by the way, don't worry about the fawn picture, my mother made sure that the mother doe wasn't anywhere in sight before she got close enough to take it :yes)

Alright so, I was originally going to end this photo album with a picture of the new hoodie I bought at the National History Museum, but since I can't seem to find any online, I will have to take a picture of that and post it tomorrow. :wink I hope you had as fun a time looking at the pictures and hearing my daily notes about it as much as I enjoyed going! (and now enjoying being back in my own house and about to sleep in my own bed ) I might be going on another mini vacation this summer to Pittsburgh and so if I do that, I promise that I will make a photo album for that as well.

The fawn shot is very lovely. The mom was hanging about nearby. If you surprise a doe and her fawn, the doe will bolt and the fawn will hide. The reason is, fawns have almost no scent, and so predators have difficulty finding them if the doe is not with them.

You were probably being watched at that point.

I had an extremely wonderful time and thanks! I think what truly is amazing is how beautiful God's creations are. Deer and horses for example. And yes once my trail ride was over, I didn't want to get off! Now if you'll excuse me I got to finish the news before lunch and I go outside. You're a really active thing on here today aren't you? Lol!

I want to know how close your Mom actually was when she snapped that fawn, it looks like she was right on top of it! Or maybe she used a telephoto lens, and wasn't really that close?
