Is God a material being? Is it possible that God is only and has never been anything but a material being?

Couldn't the Soul be another form of matter too?

In scripture it is written that God is perfect...a perfect being. Though there are a number of words that could be used to describe Him...I find it a little difficult to see Him as a materialist. Materialism is nothing short of covetousness, or selfishness. Then these are just my thoughts. Please do not take any offense at them. No harm is intended.

May God Bless You

Lamb, I think this is more geared toward the susbstance of God rather than the character of God.

I can't remembr which Greek philospher, perhaps Anaximenes, believed the soul to be just a different form of matter, but the idea has been suppossed before.

However, this idea was not a widely accepted one. I guess it's safe to say that we just don't kow.

Based on what the Bible says, God is spirit, not a material being.
